*DON'T BLOW UP ON ME FOR SUCH A THEORY!!*

i know i know, but keep reading. Someone one a thread somewhere *can't find it* mentioned how a werewolf might be able to imprint on a vampire, because in an interview SM was asked if a werewolf could imprint on a vampire, and supposidely she stated that she could not comment on that subject...HMMMM.... doesn't that make you wonder!?

I don't know about anyone else here, but i have a gut feeling that Jacob will be *gulp* killed off. I mean i personally can't see him moving on from Bella you know? They had such a strong connection & love for one another; it pains me to even think of how Jacob would have to move on

In BD i really have a feeling Jacob will imprint on Bella after the change, and in the end he will somehow sacrifice himself to save Bella's life :(

I really do think SM is more creative than to simply have Jacob imprint and dare i say it *live happily ever after*

She'll end her series on a serious note for Jacob, remembering him as Bella's "hero" and giving him the ending he deserves, still loving Bella & his last breath displaying his love for Bella--i'm tearing up just thinking about it!!!

I really dread the fact that i think Jacob will die  i love that kid; let's just hope SM is WAYYY more creative than i am! *crosses fingers*
No, I don't think that Jake will imprint on Bella, human or not. Stephenie Meyer says that imprinting happens the first time a werewolf sees someone after their (meaning that werewolf's) change. I don't disagree that Jake could imprint on a vampire (say Tanya anyone) but I doubt that its going to be Bella. SM's made too much of a point to say that Jake hasn't imprinted on Bella. It's impossible for him to now.

But the whole "sinister, but heroic" ending for Jake is something I can't deny, I can only pray that it doesn't happen. Jake deserves his own happy ending... it would make Bella too unhappy anyway. Think about Edward and living with a depressed Bella for the next 100 years.

A new character is introduced to help Jacob. I hope its this option. Plus he'll be able to imprint on said character, because you imprint the first time you see someone after the change.
But that could also hurt Jacob. He's loving someone more than Bella (assuming he doesn't imprint on a toddler). After he promised to love her forever. He hasn't broken that promise, and he is totally committed to this new person, but he is no longer waiting in the wings. It's a hundred times as bad as Sam/Leah/Emily. There is only so much guilt and pain and anguish a person/wolf can take. Jacob has pretty much reached his limit now. Any more and I would not be surprised if he blew up.

If Jake died? Hm. I suppose (forgive me- I'm a total HP geek) if he went out in a 'blaze of glory': helping Bella, doing something selfless, like Dobby did, I would accept it, and be glad: I think that if Jake were to die, he would want it to be for Bella. But if he gets killed for some stupid reason, like when Fred dies, the book will fly across the room. Jacob can't just die in some random battle. It would have to be a sacrifice. Which would still make me cry. I cry every time I reread Deathly Hallows. I need to stop reading fiction. Fantasy characters are killing me...

Well, I believe Stephenie Meyer said no "out of the blue" characters will appear, that they will have at least been mentioned in passing. So I don't think that Jacob will imprint on "random girl"

I sort of think he might die....but if he doesn't I fear he will imprint on Tanya or one of the other vampires in her clan..which i think would possibly just be too cliche...i don't think I'd like it.

Also, if Jacob was no longer waiting in the wings...I don't see a problem. Bella made her choice, and isn't turning back. I think the fact that he was waiting in the wings, gave Jacob more hope than it did anything for Bella....

I don't really understand what you're saying in your first point. Yes, it could hurt Jake after he promised to love Bella forever. But I don't think Jake will ever stop loving Bella. It will just be a different type of love. It'll be the friendly sort of love. And Bella would forgive him for loving. I think that it would be okay with the both of them. I don't really understand how this is hurting Bella.

Goodness, it would tear me apart if Jake died in a blaze of glory. To be honest, I've never reread the part when Dobby died because it made me cry too much. I cried for hours after Dobby died; I couldn't pull myself together. And that was in third person. Imagine how gut-wrenching it would/will be to read from Bella's POV if Jake died. I just can't see Steph killing Jake. I guess I'd have to read it, and determine the circumstance before I'd accept it because I can't now. I can't imagine a situation in which Jake should give up his life. He's so young. He has so much life to live. In that case, I would hope Edward would give up his life. Edward's lived a long, happy life. Jake is young and full of youth. He just can't die. And I'm on team Edward. So why don't we compromise and say neither will die.

That's the basis the next one will be based on. the face that Jake has no love interest. A "random girl" will be introduced with a string of a past for Jake to imprint on. It'll be Jake's fairy tale ending.

I want jake and bella to remain close friends but I neither want him to die in a "blaze of glory" nor do I want him to pine after bella for the rest of his life. If he and bella are soulmates, and her connection to him is 'trumped' by her connection to Edward, then I hope there is someone out there who can 'trump' Jake's connection to bella. Bella misses jake and feels bad that he's out there alone, but she isn't even contemplating not marrying or staying with edward. If jake fell in love with someone else, yeah, he may feel guilty about not being solely dedicated to bella, but he would feel a deeper obligation/connection to that person. IOW, I don't want bella to be the 'center of his existence'. She had her chance with him. She chose Edward. Jakes a 'free agent' now.

Roger that.

Okay, sorry for being confusing. I'm saying that...it's similar to what Bella goes through. She wants to love Jacob. "I've seen it Jake- and I want it bad." She didn't stop loving Jake. But it's not enough. And that kills her. She spends all night in hysterics.
Yes, Bella would forgive him for loving someone else. But Jake might not forgive himself. And I don't think that the type of love that Bella and Jake have will change. Sam, I would imagine, still loves Leah romantically. But it's not enough. It would kill Jake to not love Bella enough, because his love for her is the strongest thing he knows. Imprinting would cause him so much pain. Jake seems to be caught in a lose-lose situation, with no way out.

From what Ive heard, this is completely a rumor. If you can provide proof, I will be thankful though.

I'm not worrying too much. I don't believe that Jake will imprint I think his happy ending will be a bit better then that.

I think Jacob will imprint for sure. I think that is the best ending he is going to get, and that isn't anything to mope about.
