Whooooo hoooo!!! Take two!! Hehe I just wanted to be first. :D

But we were talking about how ridiculous this two part Deathly Hallows movie is, especially when compared to the fact OotP was shorter than any other HP movie! Ridiculous!

Yay! Second post! I think it could be a good idea. Everyone I talked to that hadn't read ootp and went to see the movie was soo confused and there is going to be a lot in this movie. We want people to enjoy the movie, not be confusing. Plus, the producers could make a lot of money because people would have to pay double to go see the whole movie.

OOTP would've been so confusing if I hadn't read the book. I saw it with my cousin (who hasn't read it), and she went to the bathroom during the Department of Mysteries, Voldy-Dumbledoor duel. She got back and was like...what happened?

The two-part thing is kind of ridiculous. They should've did that with OOTP instead.

i know they just want split it into 2 movies to do a good job since it's the last book but it wouldn't hurt to start with OotP.

I think it's because there were more things that they could cut out in OotP... but all the things that they cut out in the previous movies are coming back to bite them because now it's crucial to wrapping up the series and they need to stick it all back in in the last movie.

Yeah! I considered this too, and it's possible. But they left out what-can-be-seem as crucial things in OotP. The two-way mirror was vital. Ok, I'm being dramatic. It wasn't vital. Honestly, I just feel that if they can compact OotP into one movie, they very well better be able to compact DH into one movie. No matter what, I'll still watch it, it just bothers me that they didn't think to do the two part thing for OotP. It was the shortest of all the HP movies! And it's the longest book! It's just frustrating!

Wow, what is essentially our 3rd thread! Wicked (surely you remember our DH predictions thread that got to about 110 pages? :P)

Agreed. They cut out so much for OOTP but still it was one movie. Splitting DH and not OOTP makes nooooo sense.

You have to remember that DH was the book that tied everything together and there isn't a lot of things you could cut out for that movie. In the OotP, there were several things like all about the elves, though I think they should've tried to put it into two movies so it wouldn't be so confusing to non-HP readers. Maybe the movie producers realized their mistake so they want to make DH into two movies.

Guys, calm down! Splitting DH was just in a tabloid, and here's what WB says: "no decision has been made," in part because no script exists yet. Steve Kloves cannot begin work on the Deathly Hallows script because of the US writer's strike.
