I think I'm going to wait til there's an actual picture of the Ring on Twilight Teez before I make decisions about it. But I have to admit the ring is very much from the time period.
EliSS: Those rings look quite close to the one on Twilight Teez. So that does kind of give us an idea of what it'll turn out. And I do like that third one even though it's not totally fitting of the description. They are all beautiful rings.

Re: the ring
Well that particular link shows a ring with the gold woven around the diamonds.... the one on twilight teez is just an oval faceplate with diamonds flat set into the face which isn't how SM describes it in her book. She says the gold looks as if woven around the diamonds. So I guess it is all in the interpretation. I am sure in the end it won't look so bad especially when it is worn.littlemrscullen wrote:That ring looks A LOT like the ring on twilight teez that you think is so uglyAlice's Twin Sister wrote:Wow now if that could be the ring that would be just simply beautiful!

Re: the ring
Im with you. I think the picture of the ring someone drew is simply hideous. But this one is actually gorgeous. In my mind, from now on,this will be the ring on Bellas finger.Alice's Twin Sister wrote:Well that particular link shows a ring with the gold woven around the diamonds.... the one on twilight teez is just an oval faceplate with diamonds flat set into the face which isn't how SM describes it in her book. p.s. there is a massive difference between the drawn ring and this picture. One's gorgeous, and one is not.

Just Found!
I've just found this. I know it's silver, but maybe something similar in gold? maybe...

The ring should be before the Edwardian era, though, if it was Elizabeth Masen's. And Edward's dad's. I mean, he might have gotten it from his parents or something.

Re: Just Found!
Ooo I like this much better than the rendered one. There are more diamonds, and it's much prettier. Good find. Personally, I don't like the one SM signed off on- it's sort of gaudy-looking to me.AlwaysBeHis wrote:I've just found this. I know it's silver, but maybe something similar in gold? maybe...

i agree that she probably would not want a huge clunker of a ring, but i think back to the whole heart charm, which Alice slips and says is a rock (diamond) and i am sure it's at least a couple karats, and also a hand me down.
and ok WEIRD. there is a jewerly website http://www.faycullen.com

These rings are amazing. Thanks This is what I'll think of from now on. Nicely done. And so close to the drawn pic Steph is accepting.

Questions, questions...
This is the quote from Eclipse, page 458:
"Nestled into the black satin, Elizabeth Masen´s ring sparkled in the dim light. The face was a long oval, set with slanting rows of glittering round stones. The band was gold - delicate and narrow. The gold made a fragile web around the diamonds. Id never seen anything like it."
My question is: Did the gold make a web around the diamonds in the band or the face of the ring? Its just that I´ve been looking for the ring on some jewlery sites, but none would fit the description, so I decided to draw it. But I cant draw it with the wrong idea of what it looks like. Someone, please answer my question. Id like to post my drawaing here when Im done.

I was just thinking about the webing, and what if the webbing is actually on th outside of the ring.
kind of like holding the jewels in.
tell me if this is confusing...im sorry..it makes sense to me.
