Hahah, you never know! But I don't think she's wealthy, is she?

AHAHAHAHAHA...that would make sense, but Renee doesn't have a big bank account, so no.

There has to be something there, in her personality (which annoys me) for Phil to be interested. He is a younger guy...and men tend, granted not all the time, but tend in general to marry someon their own age or younger...so I wonder.

Only time will tell so we can only hope that the answer to our questions is revealed inlater books. *sigh* We have to wait so long. So sad.

I mean...is he barely legal? We know that he gave Bella a Linkin Park CD...I don't want to say that this music doesn't appeal to a wide range of age groups...but lets be honest...the moyority of this fan base is 25 and under. Just how young this guy really is bugs me!

Actually, you might be surprised to find that people outside of their 20s like Linkin Park, among other popular groups. Several of my students were quite shocked when they saw me at a Green Day concert. Same thing for Bush, GooGoo Dolls and No Doubt. One of my students came up to me and asked, "Does my mother know you're here?" (His mom is a friend of mine.) I just laughed and asked him if his mother knew he was there. Although I would imagine having one of your teachers and her friends show up at a concert would quash the underage drug and alcohol use.

My teenaged/twentysomething/thritysomething nieces and nephews laugh because I know new groups before they do. (My sisters are a lot older than I am, which is how my nieces and nephews as close to my age as my sisters are.)

Just think about it this way -- Stephenie is 40-something? But she likes Linkin Park.

Well, Phil doesn't play well compared to human PROFESSIONAL baseball players. Even the minor leagues are professional. If he made the minors, he was probably good enough to have a full-ride college scholarship for baseball. Not quite Cullen quality, but certainly better than the average human.

~Vielka~ wrote:I wonder how Phil met Renee in the first place, and what he saw in this older woman to want to get married? I wonder of they dated much before getting married?

Well, if Renee looks good -- and I think Bella mentioned that she looked young -- Phil may have asked her out without knowing how old she was.

A few years back, I went back to school to work on a second master's. I had two college students ask me out. Both of them were shocked to learn how old I was, but both of them kept asking me out. And my face looks young, but trust me, my body doesn't. (I went out with one of them, but not the other. He was just over my acceptable age level. I refuse to go out with anyone younger than my oldest nephew. But the one guy I went out with, his mother was a bit freaked when she learned that I had sisters who were older than she was and that my mom was older than her mother -- the guy's grandmother. It wasn't my age that freaked her so, just the sisters' and mother's age thing.)

Any way, if Renee looks really good and they get along well, why wouldn't Phil ask her out?

::GASP!:: She is so not 40-something!! She is only 32!

I think she'd be sad to learn that people thought she was in her 40s...
