Then I must say that Jacob's really got scenic eyes. =P
Lol!

Well, I can understand why Jake would like her.

When she's with Jake, she can hold her own. She can be her own person. She's more independent, more "fiesty", able to stand on her own two feet, able to stick up for herself, etc. She's absolutely right when she says there is "Edward's Bella" and "Jake's Bella". She's a totally different person when she's with Jake. I like her more with Jake... she doesn't annoy me quite as much with him.

You know, I've decided that Bella needs lessons in perspective too.

All throughout Eclipse, she treats Jake like dirt. She doesn't take the time to even think about what Jake is telling her until the end of the book. She doesn't stop to think about why he's doing what he's doing until the end of the book. All she cares about is, "Edward. Become vampire. Sex. Sex. Sex. Sex."

Even with Victoria, too. I obviously understand why she'd be terrified... but she acts like Victoria is this evil little monster. She's mean, but she's not exactly the "bad guy". She just wants revenge for James. It's like Rosalie; she killed Royce because she wanted revenge. People sympathize with Rosalie because of that and say it's not wrong she killed them. But they act like Victoria is absolutely evil, when Victoria is just doing the same thing Rose did. If someone killed Bella, Edward would probably do the same thing (kill the person who killed her). Same with Alice/Jasper, Emmett/Rosalie, etc. Soooo even though I get why Bella is scared (I would be too), it's like... "DUDE! It's completely understandable that she'd go after you! She's not exactly the "bad" guy!". That's how I see it, anyways.

Even with Sam, a little bit. Even after she finds out about why he has his "gang", she has a hard time getting over her past opinion of him. I guess that's understandable too, but still...

Ok you know what annoyed me soooo bad in Eclipse? It was Bella's obsession with having sex with Edward before she gets turned into a vampire. Wow. I was like "how shallow can you get"? I don't even get it. She's worried that she isn't going to enjoy him physically as much after she gets turned, so she's like "Hey, before we make this permanent, irreversible, eternal change, let's have sex first just in case it's not as fun later!"

WHAT?

With everything that is going on, that is her biggest request from Edward? Not something like "Please lets try and figure out how we can make this easier on my family and friends". No. It's: I want to have sex. Now.

You took the words out of my mouth!

Honestly. HONESTLY. Of all the human experiences she could have-- of all the things she could ask of Edward-- she asks to have sex?! That's understandable since she loves him, but honestly... why pick THAT?! I felt like she was being rather shallow and superficial. Kind of like... "I want, I want, I want, I want" is all she can think of. And my more vulgar side wondered why the heck she'd want to have sex with a rock. That wouldn't exactly be... fun.

I read that part of the book and I just thought, "Great, Stephenie Meyer. You've managed to further excite an already sex-obsessed (well, generally speaking) generation with putting that in your books". Although it was kind of cool that she put in Edward's "abstinence" obsession-- there aren't a lot of people like that out there now. (*Thinks to self* Did I honestly just say Edward is cool? *goes into shock*)

LOL. That made me laugh. I totally agree. I mean, great. Just great. The heroine (or anti-heroine) of the most popular books of recent years (well, sort of) wants nothing more than to have sex. Outside of marriage (don't get me started). With a dead guy. Who is ancient (like, really old).

Brrr... think how cold it would be lol. Ew. I'm a warm girl, I like heat.

Give me a La Push boy please!

bella.....she is a weee bit whiny. and alitttle more then that, selfish. dont get me wrong, i like her, alot. but come on. she says her world revolves around edward, but with the way she treats people around her? it seems that she thinks the world revolves around what she supposedly "needs" like for jake to be her friend and lover, but also for him to leave her and edward alone. its different for the mythical teachers, because they both agree that she can choose whoever makes her happy. its infuriating that she cant control herself.

I agree.
Bella is so wrapped up in Edward she forgets the people around her that love her too. Like her father and mother, Jacob. She shouldnt just give her life away without really thinking about it. (IMO) Thats one thing i dont like about bella - how she is so dependant on Edward and cant "live without him".

My sentiments exactly.

Her level of dependency on Edward is kind of pathetic. In my opinion.

Me too! But don't give me ANY La Push boy! Give me JACOB! Haha. I'm a hardcore Team Jacober <3-- I'm as Team Jacob as they come.

I definitely get what you mean. SM has sooo much influence over so many people; look at how popular her series is! And all her main protagonist thinks about is having sex?! Ugh. That was such a monumental let down. SM could have taken that in so many different directions-- could have used the opportunity to teach something really valuable-- but noooooooo. She had to write go with the "horny teenage girl" route.

I have to say that I can sort of see Bella's point...Being human, she wants Edward more than ANYTHING in the world. She wants to be as intimate as possible with him while she's human..She wants this experience as human, because she is scared how much of herself will actually be different when she is a vampire. She wanted Edward while she physically could want him more than anything else...Plus we all know how obsessive Bella is with Edward, so this whole sex part didn't suprise me at all..

But gahh! I'm having trouble saying what I want to say here..But I do see Bella's point even if I don't necessarily agree with it...

Well I understand why she would want to, I just think there are so many better things she could have chosen.
