Alice

Post by Alda Rethe »

I like Alice. She's got to be my favorite character, right after Edward.

At first I found her distasteful (or maybe I was just jealous and resentful of her graceful dancing stride on Bella's behalf), but she's quite nice and took such good care of Bella for Edward. She was also kind and benign and surprisingly at peace with her past, I thought. If I had no clue about my past before I was changed, I'd be quite unsettled, always wondering...

I adore Alice. She is my third favorite character, after Edward and Bella. The description of her in the book was just like that of a pixie. I liked her from the very beginning. I'm highly anticipating more of Alice's background in the next Twilight books.

I love Alice, she's got mystery; I think that if you really pissed her off she'd show real power not just the smallest of the cullens at 4 10'. which i love that Meyer put a short Vampire in her story, all we ever read about is these tall graceful vampire, seems more like a Elf to me, i like the Short cute vampire, she's still beauitful though. I'd like to see more fanfiction about her, maybe her chyange and time before she found Jasper, i'd like to see what he was like back then.

What I would love to know about Alice is how she feels about being the shortest. I can defintely see Emmett, Jasper, and Edward holding things out of her reach to bait her. :P

Take it from a short person (5'1'') We hit if you hold things out like that. so people learned not to do that to me at a early age.

Yes I'm not like EXTREMELY short, but I know what you're talking about, we do hit. But I can actually see Emmett doing that, holding things high up so she can't reach. Now if only they were human when she would hit him it would hurt. Haha that's hilarious to think about!

That's another reason I can't wait for Edward's point of view because I really can see them holding things out of her reach. I have much experience from people doing it to me.

ALice and her Height

Post by Alda Rethe »

Oh, I think Edward, Jasper and Emmett are much too mature to hold things high out of Alice's reach. And besides, even if they did I'm sure she could jump up easily and get them--after all, as a vampire, running and hitting and jumping and such should be an easy feat.

Oh, and Alice had her visions going for her. She'd probably know if they ever planned to do something mischevious like steal her book and taunt her with it.

Yeah but even mature people have their moments or otherwise they go from being mature to too tightly wound. I can at least see Emmett doing it as a harmful joke or Jasper playing around with her in a loving matter. Also the guys are vampires too and even if she was a vampire can you imagine trying to wrestle something from or knock down Emmett? I can't imagine her small 4' 10'' body doing that unless she got him by suprise.

Also I think she has a limited amount of control over her power. I don't think her visions would bother showing her that.
