Emmett is by far my favorite character since out of all the Cullens he seems to be the one who still feels remotely close to being human. It's just cool how he wants to protect Edward like a big brother and you can tell he feels strongly toward Edward. Not to mention he's powerful physically and mentally, while being confident enough to intimidate but not too over-sock where it would cause him to make stupid decisions.

I love Emmett! totally predictable, of course, but that's part of his charm. he's just a happy, fun guy, and you need those kinds of people or you go insane.

Emmett's awesome, pure in some wierd kind of way. I do think he's closest to being human, or holding on to his humanity. Which maybe why we can so easily see him sitting on the couch drinking a beer and watching football. He is himself, and the change didn't phase his personality. Not knowing much about his past is hard, but I'm guessing not much of a family life, because he values his family and takes Bella on as a sister without much thought.

Exactly. I think he held on to more of his human personality. He still has a very teenage boy sense of humor and competitive nature. Thats why I love him ! (:

Ilove Emmett and think has character has alot of potential so im realy looking forward to breaking dawn i think we will see or as the case may be read alot more about Emmett ( maybe thats just wishful thinking )

I would love to see SM write the books from Emmetts POV those would be funny without a doubt ! I know that the chances of her doing them are so remote but im just sayin i would buy them lol

I want a boyfriend like Emmett I'm so glad they got Kellan to play him; he'll be fantastic and he just screams Emmett..

As to the character, you can always count on something funny to happen when he's there... ah Emmett.

Stephenie has said that he is from a large family. I believe the exact wording is "huge Scotch/Irish brood". From that I assume he's comfortable with family life. The Cullen family is probably smaller than what he grew up with. He values his family (the Cullens) and I believe he valued his human family. He just doesn't dwell on the "loss" like the others do. He's a "here-and-now" kind of guy. He doesn't dwell on the past or consider future consequences.
