Ah,you took the words right out of my mouth. I also read somewhere that mrs. meyer said that James was rather ugly as a human. But i might be confusin it with Laurent, can someone confirm or deny this.CasaK wrote:I think that James was one of those people in life who was probably bullied and picked on so he became obsessed with power so that no one would ever make him feel that way again. So when he became a vampire he developed that "I'm want that and I'm strong enough to take it" mentality. He wanted Bella and got mad when someone told he what he couldn't do. I kind of pity him....

I agree. I liked James too. He was smart. He could do terrible but great things. I mean I know he was intended to be a killer but it was a good charactersmallcags wrote:i quite liked James.
I know he was a tracker adn wanted to kill Bella, but you have to admit he was a good character. I mean who else could have thought a plan through so well? I dont think anyone else in the books could have lead Bella to him.
All in all, I think Stephenie Meyer thought this character out very well and it turned into one of the best characters of all.

Nerdfighter, made of awesome.

James certainly was an intelligent person. That's part of why he was so very dangerous. It really is a bit sociopathic, though, that he especially enjoys hunting humans who have some connection with vamires (like Alice, or Bella...). I wonder what his relationship to Victoria was like. If it could be called love or if they were just together to avoid being alone too much. He must have had some sort of feelings, though. That's why I can't understand why he acted like a killing maschine. Honestly, it was scarry, the way he acts in the ballet studio.
He must have been a very persistent person, also as a human, I guess. I really wonder what his human life has been like...

I kindly liked Kames in a wierd sort of way, I mean in a freaky way he brought the rest of the Cullens closer to Bella, and even more important Edward. And I think that is actually when Roselia stared to become a little fond of her, I think.
I would have to agree with you how scary James behavior in the ballet studio was. I was actually scared that he was going to win and that they wouldn't get there in time
But I was wondering if James is gorgous like Edward or kindly creepy like Aro from the volture? It is just something that I was wondering, let me know what you think please.

Oh James is my second favorite character! (besides Edward) Bad guys are always my favorite (I cried when Durza died in Eragon (the book not the movie)), especially, as stated several times before, if you are imagining them as Cillian Murphy! Oh, love! Everything about him just made me smile. Even though he is a horrible person and tried to kill Bella, which technically might have killed Edward (grr)... But still I love him!
Pond scum isn't so weird when compared to Regis Philbin

Bad guys are ROONE (that means great in me and illnevertell's secret language) they usually have more depth and James was fantastic! Without James Twilight's climax (that's a funny word) might not have been as good, and without him there probobly wouldn't be a Victoria. James is the type of bad guy you can't trust and who you want to run the heck away from. He's charming,in his own way, and he helped us understand things better, Alice for example. He was somewhat power hungry and all about the prize. He was like an arrogant early American and Bella was like the cherokee indians, he wanted something and he didn't care about who or what got in his way.
I've always pictured James with a huge Harley and dressed in old leather. and not enough room in back for Victoria (he was an a hole so he wouldn't get her a seat)

It's okay to say you like children... But it's not okay to say you like a certain age... Then it's just creepy.

THANK YOU OASIN!! I, personally, LOVE James. He's got this sort of charming, nearly seductive feel to him in a sense. He's creepy and sort of scary to a lot of people, which is another reason I would feel drawn to him. Obviously, he had a large place in Victoria's heart; and while I doubt it was love in the way that Edward and Bella are in love, there was certainly a form of it in that relationship. People seem to look at James and see all bad, that makes me sad... because I'm sure his story is fascinating, and would draw us in as much as Twilight does. In the story between Edward and Bella, we are brought into an incredible love story full of challenges that are hard to imagine, and that story draws us in. I'm sure Jame's story would be a lot darker, maybe less of a YA story... but at the heart of it there would still be that love story that Stephenie loves.

He's just fantastic and...lovable, maybe not but you can love him, which I do.
I like all bad guys
especially when they're beautiful vampires.

I can't help it. I love James so much. Even though he tried to kill Bella and Alice, a mark on anyone's record, he's just the awesome evil guy who ends up getting his in the end.
But I love him.
*hugs James's poor dead being*
