I also think that Heidi must have some additional skills, apart from charming people to follow her. After all, she also has to make cover stories for the disappearing of the victims and make them look non-suspicious, because I'm betting the Volturi take pride in feeding on humans without anyone noticing their disappearing. Maybe she's good with mind controlling/hypnosis ? That way, I can easily picture the following scenario: She picks up a man from the US, on holiday in Italy, and makes him phone home to his girlfriend saying something like this: ' Honey, I think we need to talk. ' Yes, that's right, I've met this wonderful Italian woman, so I'm prolonging my stay here. Don't cry, you saw this coming as much as I did, we've grown apart for some time now' I'll send my brother over to pick up my stuff. You take care of yourself, right?'

This talent will also enable Heidi to keep her prisoners calm while she travels and fulfills the required dinner order from the leaders.

OK....so....I could be TOTALLY WRONG about this but...I was just thinking. In Midsummer Night's Dream Lysander, Demitrius, and Titania are all put under a love spell by Puck who uses the juice from a purple flower. Well...after the description of Heidi and her abilities as the "fisherman" (and haha what a coincidence, Heidi's eyes are purple,lol).....what if Heidi's talent is that she like, hypnotizes or puts people in a trance to make them do what she wants???? I dunno, again I could be way off.

That could be true, but I think her beauty alone lures people to their deaths. She is the evil version of Rosalie, but not as beautiful of course.

I guess she's probably not as beautiful as Rosalie, though I always imagined her to be waaay more beautiful than Rosalie.

I really liked Heidi not sure why I really wanted to see her in eclipse but oh well.
Anywho I wrote a character in my own book about a person who could manipulate people to do whatever she wanted I always thought Heidi could do that too it would explain a lot.
Or maybe people just want to follow the pretty face.
I don't want a banner I'd rather have bandwith

Oh no, Heidi's beauty rivals Rosalie's. Don't put her down just because she's Volturi.

I thought Heidi was hilarious (then again, I think everything is hilarious). Stephenie Meyer based her on her sister, and I thought that idea was really cute. For some reason, she reminded me of Rosalie. Weird, I know, especially since poor Heidi hasn't said a word as of yet and has barely been in one scene in the entire series. Then again, that might have something to do with Heidi and Rosalie both being stunningly gorgeous.

i definitely see some foreshadowing here... there's some back story on Heidi. When she was about to come in with the tour people, Aro said that Heidi was about to come in and Edward said something along the lines of (I don't know the exact quote) "Oh no, don't want to be here for that." yeah, he might have been referring to the fact that the Volturi were going to eat that tour, but it might have also had to do with Heidi herself... you never know...

Heidi is awesome... as far as Gianna being evil, there's a debate on that. But never mind.
Heidi might have more power than you'd think, but a subtle power. Like maybe an ability to cloud the mind? Because you wouldn't think she could just lure random people on the street to go on a tour. Well, yes, she's stunning, but natural human instincts are to avoid vampires, right? She might have an ability to cloud that instinct, sort of. Though that doesn't explain the woman with the rosary... Maybe she does it with her voice? Got me. Clearly, the girl has skills and ways.
I think she's going to play a part. She is definitely well-described for a supposedly minor character. Although if there is a battle, she wouldn't be in it because of sticking close to home to catch the bait and all.
But as for Heidi herself, I love her description. And I can think of a few humans who want her cell number...

This is the same thing Stephenie did to Jacob. So I think we'll be seeing more. And, if not in the series, we can ask Stephenie to reveal everything on all the teeny characters, because she'll have ended the series. But, if i've read SM's personality right, even after the series is over  she'll put up a squillion and ten short stories, different POVs, and stuff on her website.

Her fingers and the keyboard are in LOVE. thank god.

But, she said in Breaking Dawn, we'll be going back to Volterra, or learning more about Aro and what's up with their papery, onion-y skin. So Heidi'll probably be stuck in there too.

Florida Anyone? Summertime! No for me, of course, but that's a different story.
