Aros_girl -- you must [A SINGLE LETTER? WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE USE A SINGLE LETTER TO REPLACE AN ENTIRE WORD?????????]always[/A SINGLE LETTER? WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE USE A SINGLE LETTER TO REPLACE AN ENTIRE WORD?????????] be friends with the guy. haha, your best-friend is an edward cullen? awesomeeeeeeee!!

luvedwardcullen -- okay. so i am so doing the 5 favourite edward moments. i have been pondering and pondering and i am still undecided

ok, five fav edward cullen moments (in no particular order)
-when edward proposed to bella + that whole chapter basically
-edward in the meadow + edward kissing bella for the first time + edward being funny in that chapter
-edward and bella talking about their top 10 nights
-edward playing the piano + edward in edward's room, when bella is like 'i don't find you scary at all" and he's like 'you really shouldn't have said that' and then he uses his fast vamp moves and b+e are on the couch and edward is holding bella
Hey and thanks! I actually found out his name today, and he's not First Nations though he totally looks it. I know that shouldn't matter, but it was a bit of a disappointment cause I guess I was associating him with Jacob a little more than I realized. His name is Hussein. And he didn't email yet...grrr. he apologized but I played it all cool and said I hadn't had time to check it anyway....*chuckle*

I forgot about the top 10 nights...I LOVE that part!! And yea the wrestling around in his room is so cute. I love it when he tells Alice he doesn't have enough to share...(SO CUTE!!!). There are just too many great moments to name them all or narrow down to just 5 I think!

Ok I'm better. Well I think Edward is just better.

And I know a "Edward" type person. He is just like him but not a sexy vampire. But he is very protactive of me. And I like that.

Ok I will not bash Jacob but I still am not fond of him. I like him but still I love Edward.
You do??? OMG where did you meet someone like that?
He is my best friend. We even had a joke about him and me. I mad him read twilight and then he told me he was just like Edward. I met him a school. He prevents me from hurting myself alot.
Sorry for the separate posts but if I don't quote then I get mixed up lol. Wow....well I'm out of school but it's funny me and my friend are making a 'plan of attack' to find Edwards. We are thinking of the best places to look. The museum, the opera, I'm thinking libraries??

It's funny too. She said she was NEVER going to have a boyfriend and after my last I said never again too, and I stayed happily single for a year and 4 months. The guy before...geez this is embarrassing...I found out late in our relationship that he had a fetish and stalked women... But Edward ruined me and now I'm seeking that mystical thing he has with Bella.

Esme echo wrote:My very favorite Edward moment is when he rescued Bella in Port Angeles! (I kind of wish he had gone back and broken those sub-human's necks!) Bella and Edward's interaction in the restaurant and in the car on the way home is one of the best parts of Twilight for me.

Other favorite Edward moments:
--The way he would not let Bella go all through the Volterra experience.
--When he was so crazy angry at Bella's insistence that she be turned into a vampire (end of NM) that he broke the TV.
--When he defended his (and Bella's) virginity ... in fact, every time he refused to allow pre-marital sexual arousal.
--When he was so excited about Bella trying on his ring for the first time. (Bella was such a turkey about that! I wish she had been more concerned about how Edward felt than how she felt.)

About meeting your "Edward" ... I'm married to mine, and he doesn't look anything like Stephenie's Edward, and he doesn't particularly like classical music, doesn't play an instrument, doesn't do a lot of the things Stephenie's Edward does, BUT ... I am the center of his universe (in a healthy way), he never criticises me, and he rescues me regularly--'cause I often dig a hole and throw myself in! What makes him "Edward" to me is how my needs and wishes are more important to him than his own. (Of course, I feel the same way about him; his needs and wishes are more important than mine.)

This is why I love Stephenie's Edward. I put up with his failings because at the bottom of it all, he wants Bella to be as happy as she can be. Her happiness is the focus of his life. I just wish Bella was more like him in that respect.
Love4Bella yes Edward is so perfect. I think SM has raised all of our standards, which is such a great thing. I think about Edward a lot and really long to have someone like him. After leaving my last 'love' (I call it that loosely) I have pretty much holed myself in. I never go out cept to work or groceries til recently. I enrolled in ballet lessons and piano too, wanting to find more beautiful things in life. I love Debussy. I'd always listened to classical music but never heard Claire de Lune until I read Twilight. It is so sad, for some reason when I hear it I can picture Edward listening to it while he's away from Bella and being so sad. Every time I hear it I tear up. I can't picture Bella listening to it though since she seems to give up on music; I probably would too. It would be too painful.

And about your top 5, I love them all too!!!! The Volterra thing was so satisfying the way he stayed with her constantly, it was needed after his too long abscence from the book. I also love the way he defends both their 'honour,' one thing I love about Edward is his never-ending chivalry and manners...so hard to find these days. I wanted to ask too, how did you know it was a tv Edward broke? I thought it just said something like he took her out the back door so she wouldn't see what he destroyed but maybe I just missed it. Oh and I'm constantly bothered by how Bella reacts to the marriage thing too...I mean come on that pales ghastly beside losing your humanity to be with someone for forever and on!!! Never understood it.... And yes, I too wanted him to kill those stalkers in Port Angeles. They were sick....

I'm so glad you have your Edward. It sounds like you two are made for each other. And you're right about Edward, he keeps changing and growing for Bella, trying to learn how to do things the right way. That is the thing that makes him so amazing....well one of them. I love how he was trying to just make her happy at the end. And sometimes he really does deserve much more than what Bella offers him. I hope she gives it to him in BD. (Oh and keep your fingers crossed I'll meet my Edward...hope it's soon. Somehow I don't think my Jacob will work out, lol

no guys in my life resemble the characters even remotely. I mean, on a relationship level. I'm not sure if the right guy will ever come along, at this point. But I do have time to wait.
I guess I'm just not the sort of girl that guys like that are interested in.
I don't really relate to bella like most people do, so I guess I'm just the loner...

To go along with the earlier convo...

I think it's completely unfair that girls are "highering their standards" in boys because of Edward.

The way I see it... dream about finding someone like Edward all you want. But you are never going to find it. You might find someone who loves and cares for you in the same way Edward cares and loves Bella, but you won't find anyone like Edward. "Perfect" men don't exist. Men with all of the qualities so many girls admire in Edward don't exist. Edward is very unrealistic in that aspect.

That's why I think it's unfortunate that so many girls expect to find someone like Edward. I feel like Bella/Edward's relationship gives a lot of teen girls a skewed vision of what most relationships are actually like, if that makes sense. There's a quote I found somewhere... it's something like, "Love isn't about finding the perfect person. It's about learning to see an imperfect person perfectly". I obviously think Edward has his share of imperfection, but there are a lot of girls who think he is perfect in every single way and can do no wrong. But boys, no matter how much the girl may wish them to, aren't going to live up to Edward's standards. They are going to do wrong sometimes. People aren't perfect. They aren't always going to be sensitive, romantic, selfless, etc. It's not fair to want perfection from someone, because you are never going to find it. So I think it's unfortunate that Edward is upping the standards for some people because it will just end up disappointing them. IMO. Expecting perfection is a silly notion to me-- and a little illogical.

Like I said, I definitely think a girl can find a boy who loves her and cares about her in the same way Edward feels about Bella. Buuuuuuuut I don't think there are "Edward's" out there.

AAAAAAAAAAND as a sidenote:
I don't think Edward is perfect in any size, shape, and/or form. The above was directed towards those who do find him perfect.

Let me get this straight, meganj924 ... are you actually saying that Edward is perfect? I never thought I'd see the day. haha

No, really, you don't have to clarify! I know what you meant. I just couldn't resist the joke! I'd love to respond to your last post, but I don't have time right now. Perhaps I'll just repeat the old saying: "It's better to aim for a star and make a near miss than aim for a mudpuddle and hit it dead center."

wow megan did you just say edward was perfect?

Now I know there is no man on earth that is what people would call edward. Trust me I got that very clear. You have to find someone that cares about you just as much as you care about them. Yea no Edwards out there. I agree with you there.

Some set very high standers for boys because of Edward but honestly we will never find someone like that. But then some just want to find someone they want to be with. Like Bella wants to be with Edward. So that is where the tearm "my Edward" comes in. And if they will protect you and keep you out of danger.
