I must admit I absolutely ADORE Esme! She's really a great person and I think it was a shame that we didn't get to see more of her in Twilight, so I really hope we get to see more of her in the other books!

Esme to me is the mother hen of all. What intrigues me about Esme is that she immediately fell in love with Carlisle when she was sixteen and never forgot him. I would just love to see what was said between them when she was younger and they first met that made her be so attracted to him.

Yes! That is exactly what I want to know! I just really love her personality so after Carlisle she seems the most I dunno...relaxed with their style of life. I dunno, did that make any sense? lol

I don't think it's a big wonder why she fell for him. I had a dreamy doctor once and I can still remember his name! She was 16 and this totally gorgeous man was working on her leg. That was bound to stick in her memory!

Esme and Carlisle fascinate me to no end. I would love to write about their romance from start to finish...well...to endless finish at least. I'm more interested in what Carlisle saw in her than what esme saw in him. With him I think it's obvious. With him it had to be different to see her at 16 and then at 26. She had changed so much in ten years.

Sigh...

Dreamy vampire doctors....

Esme was my personal favorite of all of the secondary characters in the story. The way she's descirbed as being so intensely nuturing and maternal and loving but then also has such a sad history. I found how quickly and willingly she divulged the story about her child dying really facinating. It also got me thinking about exactly what her personal "gift" entais... An instinctual, maternal sense of danger or fear from the others' maybe? I HOPE we get more back story on her as the series goes forward!

I really really love Esme... I have been writing the Esme/Carlisle ff and after I started to write it I really really started to love Esme. I think she was just so misunderstood and lonely and no one cared enough to listen and then she and Carlisle rediscover each other years after their original meeting and Carlisles Compassion and her ability to love, and the lack of love she had had in the past, just pulled them together. Aw! It is such a sweet story!
Sorry I am a nerd!!
