So I was way too tired when we got back from the concert last night to post so here's the recap of the MCR concert at Saltair. Drive By and Billy Talent opened. I actually liked both bands a lot. Most opening bands I've seen are just okay and some are even downright awful, but these guys were great. Drive By's album just came out like two days ago. Of course MCR was freaking amazing. Gerard said that since they've been touring this record for two years they were going to take a break for a while when it was done. He also said that on this tour they were choosing to play smaller venues to have a more intimate setting with the crowd. That cleared up my question about why they were playing Saltair when they could have easily sold out a larger venue. Also, they flew to Mexico after the show last night to play a gig where they get to open up for the Smashing Pumpkins. Then they'll hop back on the tour. They played most of the songs off of The Black Parade and they played You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison and I'm Not Okay from Sweet Revenge. They also played some awesome stuff that most people have never heard live before. They played Headfirst for Halos off of Bullets, Desert Song off of Life on the Murder Scene, and the B-side release of Kill All Your Friends. Near the end the rest of the band left the stage and with just Gerard and the keyboard player, Gerard sang Cancer. They closed the show with Helena which I thought was a great way to end it. All in all, a really great show! So to all of you who have a chance to go see them on this tour, do it now before you don't have the chance!

First off, Billy Talent *w00tw00t* Canadian band hell yeah! I've seen them live. Ben is such a cutie.

Second, HOW DID "KILL ALL YOUR FRIENDS" SOUND LIVE??? I love that song! ^.^

Thirdly, I'm glad you had a great time. :] and that's awesome that MCR played some old stuff.

I've never been able to stand MCR. I did like Frank's band before them, Pencey Prep, a while ago. Leathermouth aren't bad, either.

I've loved MCR for a few years now. I think they're an amazing band with very meaningful and fantastic lyrics.

Starless: Kill All Your Friends was amazing live. Seriously. Awesome. I have decided that that was the best concert I have ever been to hands down.
