My absolute oldies addiction is One Fine Day by The Chiffons. Whenever I hear this song I think of sitting in a reclining chair, poolside, with Wayfarers and some huge floppy sunhat on, spying on the local lifeguard, with this playing on some vintage boombox nearby.

Linkin Park are my gods

I would also recomend Julien K, Enter Shikari, Flyleaf, Alice in Chains, Madina Lake, Rage against the machine, System of a down, Coheed and Cambria...

Just some of my faves *nods*

Not my typical genre at all. but his performance at Glastonbury last night was incredible. I don't know if anyone caught it but it was pretty amazing. Defiantly youtube it. I believe UK people can watch the whole performance on the bbc website.

King Khan and The Shrines "Land of The Freak" is the ultimate Summer song; the complete trumpets, voice and beat is just meant to play on a hot summer day.

I'm still in construction of my Summer Playlist, so far I only have this:

01 Magistrates - The Inbetweens
02 King Khan and The Shrines - Land of The Freak
03 Girl Talk - Play Your Part (Pt. 1)
04 The Future Heads - Le Garage

Lemme' say, Girl Talk is defiantly a guilty pleasure band, how it changes rhythm yet so smoothly is just lovely. Magistrates is yet another up and coming band who I'm really starting to like. It's been said to be possibly the next Vampire Weekend, but that's a bit of stretch seeing The Inbetweens is just a demo. But they do have VW on there top 12 friends on myspace, whatever that means. Annnd of course The FutureHeads. *shrug* Le Garage was never really there strong hit song but the song it's self reminds of a 90's summer hit movie.
