What does your username or nickname mean?

Post by Incantare » Sat Feb 03, 2007 3:03 pm

I'm almost positive there isn't already a thread on this topic, so...what does your username mean and why did you choose it?

Mine, Incantare, (in-can-tar-RAY) means 'to enchant' in Latin. To me, using a Latin infinitive verb is kind of scholarly 8) , and I like to think of myself as academic. Plus I like the word 'enchant.'

Why did you choose yours?

Littera means "Of the alphabet" in Latin. So basically anything that is written. letter, literature, literally, etc. are from it. Litera is just my own personaly version of littera.

In Love With Forever: Kind of goes without saying. Forever can mean a lot of things, in the case of Twilight- eternity. Bella is in love with forever because she wants to be with Edward, as a vampire. It just sounds cool to me. :D

Mine comes from a Coldplay song. Called White Shadows funnily enough, who would have thought? Lol.

Yeah, so from Latin and logical to pop culture...I come across super smart :D

There's already a thread: why did you pick the name that you picked?

It's still good. Why make another thread when there's already a perfectly good thread? Duplicate threads eat up bandwidth, and makes the forum unorganized. So it's better to revive old threads than make new ones.

My name has a more than one meaning. It means both music and rain but it also means how a symphony is like a storm of music. The main meaning I use to explain to others is how the sound of a rainstorm is like a natural symphony.
