A thread to discuss the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series (BDB).
This is an adult Romance series and thus contain mature scenes and themes. That being said, this is a PG-13 site. Keep it clean girls.

These series belongs to my favorites too.
Usually I am not person who gets angry on fictional characters or starts to dislike them, but in reading that series I did. I didn't have much against Butch and Marissa until Lover Revealed, but after that they went on my nerves.
I apologize if that offends somebody.

Since I am the only one that has not read the books yet I just want to say to you all that I am going to miss you at the Gutter. I know you all are going to jump here and have fun without me..
::::::::: <---me crying
My goal is to make it here by the end of February, hey, that's a heck of a goal for 5 books... now I better get back to reading

I just finished Butchs book. The series is fun but compared to my other romances I'm having a hard time with the vivid violence. Good series though. Started V's book this morning. Have to take breaks between my books so that I can clean my house. Haha.

Nah, ya can't have too many places to play.
I went to Half-Price Books today and bought #1 and #5 for myself and stuckinthetundra
. I hate paying full price for paperbacks. So now I'm waiting on the others so that I corrupt stuckinthetundra
. She won't like it if I send #1 and say don't read #5 until I send the rest. That would be mean.
Ok, I was bored on the cardio today my brain went weird places. (Like that's anything new.) I picked a color that represented each of the brothers.
Wrath - Black
Rhage - green
Zsadist - white
Vishous - yellow
Phury - burnt orange

Yes!!!!!!!!!!! BDB in the house!
Ah, guess I better be careful I know there may be some spoilers here.
Well so far I have read book 1, the other four are scheduled to arrive in the mail next Tuesday, just in time for me to go back to school (because, you know, i need distractions like I need another hold in the head).
!Viva los vampiros!
This series is fun though, I am tempted to write a FanFic for it...

Book 5 spoilers!
Hurray! BDB thread!
Nissanmama: are these just random colors that stood out, or is there a personality scale you're using?
I just finished V's book. It was really tense in a few places, but it's not my favorite. I really liked the unspoken thing Butch and V had going. I'm bummed. I agree with tuuli to an extent. I think all the pieces are fine on their own, but something about how they settle together doesn't feel right sometimes...if that makes sense.
I adore John, though. He's become one of my favorite characters.
Likewise, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.
ETA: How should we handle the spoiler issue? I don't want to ruin things for everyone who hasn't read all the books. I'm going to start my posts with little headers until we find a better way.

I added spoiler to the title. However there is a spoiler color font you are welcome to use when speaking of the books. It works like this:
Highlight with your cursor:
Now you can type as many spoilers as you want and no one who soean't want to be spoiled has to see them. A special thanks to Mayde for discovering the super secret spoiler font. end spoiler.
You replace the color code with this [color=#666699

Random colors that stood out in my brain. (It's a very odd place in there.)
Wrath - King of the BLACK
DB, also his long hair and sunglasses. Before Beth he's also a very dark personality.
Rhage - irridescent green
, scaley beast
Zsadist - he starts out pale and gaunt, but is redeemed in Bella so
white seemed to fit both
Butch - he's just kind of old school and comfortable like an old brown
Vishous - He's got the glowing thing goin' on so that felt yellow
to me. Plus, he's just so darn chipper when he's released by the Scribe Virgin, gets Jane back, and make's his peace with the SV with the gift of the bird.
V's book wasn't my favorite either, although it did improve on a second read. One thing I did that was kind of odd/interesting was to read just V's story. In otherwords, Ward writes linear so we have to stop and see what's going on elsewhere as the story moves forward. I skipped pages reading only about V and Jane
and the story stood on it's own. I did like the additional insight in the the SV. My favorite one to read was Rhage. My two favorite scenes from Rhage's book are when he feeds Mary breakfast in her apartment after she's helped him with the sunburn and when he's in his beast form but lays down like a puppy infront of her.

I've only read the first book and part of the second, so my knowledge is limited. But when has thet ever stopped me
I'm with you on the Wrath = black
Rhage = green
Zsadist = white
Butch = Brown
I'm not seening the V as yellow, but as I havn't read his book yet I will stay openminded.
I am rather fasinated by Z, but I think I am developing a HUGE crush on V.
I started reading the 2nd book yesterday, but hubby wasn't home so i wasnt' as enjoyable. I think I will put it aside untill the weekend when he will be here. HWS just isn't the same if hubby is at work
