i'm falling more and more in love with plaid by the second.
i dress sophisticated and polished with a twist, so plaid is sometimes in my outfits but now, wow it's love.
it's edgy and fun but still cute and girly
i saw the pants i have in T.Vogue's issue and i totally spazzed.

i got several things from Kira's stores and the other day all my friends were asking where i got them.i'm praying it doesn't start being a trend, because i don't know how much i'll like it then

I'm a fashionista. I'm a Kdg. teacher and wear 4" heels to school every day. The pointier the toe, the better. I can actually run in them ... have chased students down the halls!

Clothes ... anything from Gap to Ann Taylor to Ann Taylor Loft to 7forallmankind to whatever else strikes my fancy to my Carlos Santana and BCBG shoes. I usually carry my Coach purse and my Prada oversized bag (which I use as a "briefcase"). Aside from my engagement ring and wedding band, I wear a "Return to Tiffany & Co." bracelet and a Tiffany & Co. ring. Usually my Tiffany & Co. sterling knot earrings unless it's summer and I'll switch to my Tiffany starfish earrings. If I'm in the mood, Tiffany hoops. My signature Chanel sunglasses complete the look. Oh ... and the perpetual Starbucks cup in hand.

Thank god I have a husband who makes good money and spoils me!

I literally save all of my money from Boston/New York trips, so here's the stores I splurge at, or look in to gain some serious inspiration.

BOSTON
  • 1. Louis Boston. High, high quality stuff... I've only bought two things from this store- London Sole flats, and a Marni necklace- and well, let's just say I could pay my cell bill for a year with what I spent. It's the best store I've ever been to. Kind of scary and elitest at first, but Lesley, judging by the fashion taste you've displayed on the Lex, you'd love it. It is heaven for girls like us. Zac Posen galoreeeee :D. The building itself is gorgeous, and there's this really cool CD listening station with indie tracks and stuff. Verrryyy expensive, but still, worth a look
    Louis Boston

    2. Ralph Lauren Rugby. The best one-stop locale for cable knit sweaters and scarves. Very collegiate items, as it caters to the Ivy League New England crowd.

    3. Marc Jacobs. I actually never buy anything from the Marc Jacobs store except for pens and band-aids, and the one--time Stam purchase, but honestly neonsx, I like the Boston store best. A look around can give a girl some serious inspiration.
NEW YORK
  • 1. AliKat. Okay, affordable and quality are the key words for this store. It's located in Brooklynn and was actually opened buy two teenage girls and their step-mother. It caters mainly to teenage girls and has a variety of brands- Miss Sixty, Lacoste, and Charlotte Ronson, mixed with Junk Food tees you'd find at PacSun, or some other commercial store.

    2. Century 21. My friends never know what's 'last season' so I can safely shop here without being accused of 'Bargain Hunting'. If you're at Ground Zero, it's nearby. It's a good thing I don't go to Stuyvesant High School, because I'd be stopping at Century 21 every lunch break. I found a Vera Wang cardigan for twenty bucks there, and it's actually adorable, not some ugly castoff.

    3. Scoop. Once again, high prices, but worth a look.

    4. 3 B's- Barneys, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf. I love the costmetics counters.

Oh thank you ashFlash, I'll defiantly check them out and do some splurging My parents are allowing to have a full day or more just for shopping and as long as I have a location for them [thank goodness for Google] I can be in shopping heaven.
The elist crowd do at times scare me, I'm always in such awe [small town girl here], but just seeing an Alexander Wang shop gives me some major inspiration :D

Um...im more of a "jeans and a baby-tee from Aero" kind of girl <3 But shorts in the summer.

Haha but most the time I just lounge around in my PJs till noon...or later.
Okay so we're starting an alternate lexicon to help keep us sane while its shut down. We're prolly going to close it as soon as the lex is back up. And we won't allow spoilers (=
It'd be really awesome if you guys could join and help spread the news! Its still in construction at the moment though!

Me too. But not usually from Aero (sometimes, though). I like happy bunny and graphic tees with various characters on them(Snoopy, Woodstock, Cookie monster, etc.)

I absolutely hate straight-leg jeans. I prefer flares or bootcut.

My signature "stuff" is a choker that has 3 rabbits in a circle on it, a silver bracelet, and a blue "Music For All" wristband. And i'm usually wearing crocs.

No offense to the people above, but I don't really like screen tees like that, unless they have something really important to me on them. I prefer solid colors and interesting patterns.

'Are we going to feel complete at the end of Breaking Dawn?'' she whispered pleadingly....''I can't really answer that question for you,'' she said, her voice both cheerful and firm. ''But I felt closure.''

Luckyy :(. Send my love to Boston; my parents go to New York and Boston at least once a month for business and stuff, but they haven't taken me in months, so I'm feeling reallyyyy homesick. Boston is my favourite city ever; I love how it's traditional, but still urban, unique and quirky. Everything about the city is so classy and sophisticated.
The first time I went to Louis Boston, I was so intimidated; everything I looked at had like, four figure price tags, and the salespeople were really nice, but didn't leave me alone. Still, it was worth it, you've gotta check it out :) They've got a ton of Marni, Zac Posen, Trovota, Repetto, Rag & Bone, and Marc Jacobs- enough said. It's what I always imagined the Vogue closet would be stocked with.

ashFLASH wrote:Damn, I love Lacoste too much. Lacoste and Ralph Lauren Blue Label are probably the two affordable brands that I actually like everything from the collection. J. Crew is my thing too, but I avoid the chinos and stuff like that- aka stuff my mom might wear? I love J. Crew's shoes though, they've got some very cute stuff.

Speaking of cheap, affordable stuff, this is very embarrasing to admit lol, because as much as I try and avoid being the omg-I-care-about-what-label-is-sewn-into-my-clothes type of girl, sometimes it's unavoidable, but the other day, I was looking for the Charlie Bartlett DVD at Wal-Mart with my mom, and I found the most adorable sundress. I'll post a picture later, but it was only $15 (CAN), and the prints on it look like the artwork from an M.I.A. or Mika CD insert.
Haha my cheap Wal-Mart dress. It still needs a little work as far as tailoring, but not too shabby, you know, for Wal-Mart:
