Okay well I asked Pelirroja and she allowed me to do this. In the Languages thread, I saw that many people really wanted to learn Latin and I thought this wouldbe fun!

Basically I write a paragraph story in Latin and you translate it. After you translate it, you can either continue from the story I wrote or write your own story in Latin. But whatever you write has to be at most 10 sentences or Pelirroja won't allow it. "Ok, in the interest of being educational I'll allow it so long as it is no more than a 10 sentence paragraph translation each time."

Hopefully people will do this, I've always wanted to write a story in Latin!

Oh, and if you want to make it easy, just find an english to latin/latin to english translater online.

Here is my bit:

EGO occumbo styrofoam prandium patella quod ran. EGO ran sicco schola ianua in silva secundum schola. Singultus pro spiritus Cepi sicco meus tractus pad quod charcoal quod coepi duco. Is eram a nemus a vulgus quercus , tamen illic eram quispiam nefas per is. Is wasn't alive. Is eram withering a vita , infirmus of is. Is had tolero venalicium of vita. EGO admiratio ut si nemus could have a mens of it's own would is recordor its' vita quantus quantus vel horrendous , gauisus vel devia fun vel tiresome. Tunc EGO animadverto , EGO wasn't sermo super nemus in tractus , EGO eram sermo super mihi.

It's hard translating because some words in english are not in latin, so just try to figure out what it means when you translate it!

Oh boy. I'll participate, only if I can find my 6th grade notes. The only thing I remember from Latin is salve and vale.

ROTFLOL!!! I read post above and had to go see for myself.

Here is what the translator says.
I to fall styrofoam dinner dish and ran. I ran to dry up school door upon woods accordingly school. Sobbing for breath To receive to dry up my a dragging pad and charcoal and began to lead on the march. This was a tree a the common people oak tree , nothwithstanding there was anyone wrong very this. This wasn't alive. This was withering a life , not strong of this. This fueram to tolerate market of life. I wonder when if you wish tree could fui a mind of it's own would this to remember its' life how great how great or horrible , rejoicing or out-of-the-way roads fun or tiresome. Then I notice , I wasn't discussion over, upon tree upon a dragging , I was discussion over, upon me.
I can not for the life of me figure out what part of the book that is! LOL Do they mention styrofoam in the books? Its kind of an emotional paragraph so I am guessing New Moon, but thats all I got.

And what is a fueram?

Crazy internet translator!

I think I know what it is!! It's either in the woods when Edward is telling her that he's leaving, or after he leaves and Bella is wandering throught the woods.

But I thught the point of this was to write an original story, not translate some thing out ofthe books.

HAHahaaha. Oh my, this is hilarious because it's acutally about a girl who drops her lunch that's in the styrofoam plate and she runs out the school doors, into the forest. Once she is there she takes out her drawing (I dont know why it says 'dragging') pad and charcoal and draws a tree. The tree is dying and she wonders about life.

Haha this is actually fun, someone else should write something and we should translate it and see if we can figure it out.

I never would have guessed that. But, I'm going to try to write something.

Is eram sitting sub a nemus per suus raven infucatus saeta flatus trans suus visio in lux lucis ventulus. EGO knew is could nunquam exsisto mei , etiamnunc ut didn't subsisto mihi ex alveus in suus decor. EGO eram verto tergum ut meus libri ut EGO saw suus caput capitis emersum. EGO vultus sursum quod saw him vultus rectus procul mihi per suus piercing puteulanus eyes. EGO couldn't vultus absentis , quod EGO didn't volo ut. Pro procul ut moment , EGO felt tanquam is volo mihi , tanquam is vere tutela.

Happy translating!
