nonne Aro codicillos tuos lingua graeca scribere te iuvit? linguas antiquas cognoscat et scimus quantum te eum delectare ...
(yes you can probably read that either way...)
ETA
well...unobservant anyway. Just saw your edits.
It's probably just as well you didn't turn up on the Bella/Edward thread. Even without your crowbar, your arrival would probably make the locals nervous.

Oh, c'mon -- I struggled through your damned Greek -- and several of the words weren't even in my ancient Greek lexicon (not being ancient Greek)...
Ok. I have to go out and do errands, but if you haven't been shamed into it by then, I will do some translating when I return. Iuvo, incidentally, more commonly means "help" and codicillus can mean "note". Nonne is a particle indicating the expectation of an affirmative answer (as in "he did do __, didn't he?"). The rest look pretty good -- you must have a better translation program (or facility with a dictionary) than the others...

Yes, Alcyone, do share. I have had no luck discovering a better one. Unless I pay $20 for it, and let's face it! I don't care that much...

Yep, if I am going to pay $20 for it, I'd rather donate the money to the Host site and ship all of my posts to Alcyone for translation before I post them!!!LisaCullenAZ wrote:Yes, Alcyone, do share. My translation program is me. I speak Spanish and Italian, both deriving from Latin so I can guess at most. There were only three words I wasn't sure of (which were the ones you noted December). Those I have to try and find the root then find some matching word in Spanish, Italian or the little French and Portuguese I know.
Yeah.
December, don't get me started on your Greek. For example, "I" is translated as "J". Here's the translation
ie took my fabe tjgitly vetseen ijs bool iands and kjssed me cntjl J sas so djzzy tie forest spjnnjng. tien ie leaned ijs foreiead agajnst mjne, and J sas not tie only one vreatijng iarder tian cscal.
Then, I turned Martian Pig Latin into English so no complaints from you!
Yeah.

Translated by whom?
...ok, don't answer that: I think I get it. Those must be letter-by-letter modern greek phonetic equivalents. I'm afraid I was too lazy to do the work of correctly transliterating -- I just typed it straight out using a standard Greek keyboard layout. In which h turns into η, i turns into ι, c becomes ψ and for some reason word-final ς is located on the w key. Etc.
Whereas your transliteration transforms the whole thing into delightfully ersatz Dutch...
As for the Latin, if I haven't made any egregious errors (quite possible!) this reads something like:
Did Aro by any chance help you write your note in Greek? He would be familiar with ancient languages, and we know how much he likes you...
[or possibly: how much you like him -- though the first reading is more likely]
And the ETA:
Well, you frighten me. When you become a vampire, that sixth sense of yours will be really terrifying...
Like so much, it rather loses in translation...
