The back cover of my book says that he is a vampire...and it follows that the rest of the Cullens are...so i knew as soon as i turned the book over, as soon as picked up the book!

I was a Buffy and Angel buff so I got used to that whole type of vampire mythology and knew right away that the Cullen's were the vampires (and from reading the blurb). But I asked myself 'How can they be out in the day time?', but really I enjoy Stephenie's outtake on vampire so much more than the whole sunlight burn thing it gets old, I love the uniqueness. :D

I read the back cover so I didn't really have much time to "discover"

Before I even read the book. I had seen an interview with Stephenie Meyer in one of my review journals where it mentioned the Cullens were vampires.

So, it was pretty much just seeing how Ms. Meyer would portray them.

..Exactly. But I was kind of suspecting some weird twist. But I was glad it ended up being Edward.

Yeah, likewise. There pretty much was no is he/isn't he mystery from the getco. Actually, the reason I bought the book was because it was about a human falling for a vampire which I found pretty kick donkey, even though it was in the children's section and I had to be all incognito to get out of there before the sales clerk asked if I'm alright in the head. 8)

children's section? really? that's a little screwed up, since where i got Twilight, it was in the young adult section. i basically got it for the same reason as you, Jadai. plus my obsession with vampires. but i wouldn't have even looked at the inside pannel if it weren't for the bookcover.. i liked the bookcover.

but yeah, i didn't understand why they put the fact that Edward was a vampire on the back of the book when bella was so confused as to what edward was. *shrug*

Yeah, call me crazy but I don't imagine being able to keep up with the whole vampire romance genre in second grade but hey, that's just me! It's like reading a Kintergardener a book about little Debbie and her magical cigarette. Pffsh, magic carpets are for sissies.

I being...well, me, kindly told the sales people it was wrong but they insisted it was directed to fit in the child genre and it was all just so ridiculous that I got all the Twilight books and just stuck them in the YA section on the other side of Borders in front of the dumbass behind the counter's face. Le Burned. I was frustrated, so sue me.

ARRGH. Pirate moment. I know, it always ticked me off that they used that excerpt from the book as the back cover. It just felt like you're giving off too much into the story before you even read the book, I would of preferred to discover it on my own and guess along with Bella than know right off the bat, it makes the book more suspenseful that way but alas. *shakes head*
