There are alot of people at my school who skip lunch, so many people do it we don't have a lunch line we have more of the few people that actually eat during lunch. Besides there are snack machines at my school, you can buy something out of those on the way out of the cafeteria/commons area, and eat it later. The teachers don't really watch what you eat, they just make sure you don't leave the commons area during lunch, god forbid you be anywhere else!

Yeah, I just have the same thing to say as everybody else. People in my school skip lunch all the time for whatever reason, and teachers don't feel the need to walk over and ask why. Nobody asks or cares besides friends, and the Cullens sat by themselves before, and now they sit with Bella's other friends, but they probably don't care enough to notice or wonder. They know the Cullens are a little weird, and it's not a big deal that they're not eating.

I do think it's odd that they buy the food though and then just throw it away. I think the Cullens should just not buy the lunch at school.

Well quite a few people skip lunch at my school, and it's not cos they're anorexic, its usually either because their not hungry, or they have huge breakfasts and they now that when they get home they have a big late lunch waiting for them.

But I have a question, it's kind of off-topic, but before Bella came, did the Cullen's ever talk to any of the student body, unless they had to do group or partner work?

They are so dang good at convincing people that I think if anyone even metioned it all it would take waould be one reassuring smile from either Rosalie or Edward depending on the gender of the person asking the question and any wondering about anorexia would quickly dissapear and be replaced by fog and obsession. I mean what would you do if you were asking Edward a question and he gave you one of his half smiles because I know that what ever I was thinking at the time would no longer be their.

I don't think the teacher or pupils notice and if they do I think they would be too scared to say to someone about it.

No, I don't think they talked to anybody else in the school, besides teachers occasionally, or when approached by somebody, like when Jessica flirted with Edward and he turned her down with "icy disinterest." I bet they've had to talk to people if they were lab partners or something. Edward would probably be a good partner to have because he'd do all the work for you and it'd be right. Mr. Banner even said, "At least the other students get a chance to do the work themselves," or something like that when he found out Bella had identified three of the five slides.

hmmm...that thought crossed my mind a lot.
but i guess since their "foster father" is a doctor,
no one gives it much thought. but i'm sure people
wonder. and you never know - maybe someone HAS
brought it up, but the cullens just enchanted them
with their beauty and charm, so they didn't worry
about it again.

I think it's simply because the Cullens are so inhumanly beautiful, anyone who saw them would NOT be paying attention to their plates.

I agree with what everyone's saying about most people not paying attention to what they're eating because they're the "outsiders" of the school, and they don't really care. Plus, there are a lot of people who just don't like eating in public. I really hate eating in public, I feel like everyone's staring at me, and it just really, really freaks me out.

i agree... i mean isnt it said that like everyone in town knows that Carlisle is the doctor at the hospital, i mean even the people in La Push know... they probably believe Carlisle has it all under control.

also ( like other people have said)... many people at my school dont eat either... some just arnt hungry, others are on diets, teachers just dont pay that much attention when it comes to not eating a lunch, its kind of normal to not see people eating at school...
