I'm asking for Twilight and NM for christmas, because I only got the chance to read them once since I discovered them through my friend in October and borrowed the two from her.

But I can't wait to read NM again. I find it as an amazing book, and I knew for sure Edward would come back. He just had to =p

My sad emotion was taken out very strongly, but it doesn't mean I'm scared to read it. I love to cry, feel sadness and pain while reading a book or watching a movie.

Oh! Read it again, read it again! Do it, do it, do it, do it!

It's such a good book. Once you know (and now you do!) that Edward comes back and that there is no need to truly panic, you can enjoy it so much better. The second read is much better. I love New Moon so much...

I do recommend reading it again. Believe me, I went through the exact same agony. It took me weeks to recover from it. It tore me apart. The second time will hurt but it will never hurt as much as the first time. The more you read it, the less painful it gets. Now I can read New Moon easily.

The hardest parts to read (for me) are when Bella and Jessica are at the movies, when Bella goes driving off before she sees the motorcycles, when she is sitting thinking on Jacob's couch after she jumps off the cliff, earlier in the book after she gets home from the movies with Jessica and is curled up on her bed. They take my breath away. Of course, the forest scene at the beginning is difficult to read, but surprisingly it is not the worst. The depression parts are the most painful.
It was a crippling thing, this sensation that a huge hole had been punched through my chest, excising my most vital organs and leaving ragged, unhealed gashes around the edges that continued to throb and bleed despite the passage of time.

I always knew Edward was going to come back and i knew that he did truly love her so i guess there was less heartbreak and more frustration and annoyance that he wasn't in the book!
I've only read New Moon once but then i've only read them all once (it was only last week). The reason I am reluctant to read New Moon again is that I simply find chapters without Edward not as interesting as the rest, however, despite all this I will re-read the book as I now have a different perspective of Jacob and I want to read his chapters in a new light as I probably skimmed them before. I think re-reading New Moon is essential as Stephenie says because many people are too anxious to get back to Edward that they miss important information about the Quileutes and Jacob.

well im up to the italy part in new moon. and it wsnt that bad/

i highly recomend reading the "being jacob black" extra on stephenie's site. its basically jacob's life from when he met bella to the end of new moon sumearized in his POV. it gives you insite on alot of the others even sam. it's pretty decent. you see things you missed while reading new moon and it makes why jacob was so cold to bella more understandable. nw i only hate him for his prejudists and how he played bella in elipse

When I first read the beginning of New Moon where Edward leaves and Bella is in that horrifically tragic state, I cried for a week before I could read the rest.
At the time I borrowed that copy from my friend. Just 2 months ago, my family gave it to me as an early Christmas present. I was so petrified to read it again but I did anyway. At the beginning, I cried again but not for as long because I knew it would be alright in the end.

New moon was so sad.... :( I really just reread the parts with Edward in it  But then I decided to be good and reread all of it  I kind of had a hard time considering the Jake factor *cough* I kind of liked him better before he was a werewolf...he seemed nicer, and more friendly to Bella....and he didn't hate Edward... :x If you like Jake I'd reread it I guess... But if you're like me, and you don't necessarily despise Jake but you're sure not in love with him either *cough* I'd wait until you've read Eclipse, then you can see what Edward was really thinking...

I agree New Moon was sad... the first time I read through it REALLY quickly (not skim reading...I don't do that) because I knew that Edward was going to come back. But then I reread it right after I finished Eclipse and I realized I missed a lot of deep moments. But I really just like reading the end part!

Awesome banner thanks to leaf!

Did you seriously just stamp your foot? I thought girls only did that on TV.

I think I read somewhere that Stephanie said something about on the first read, readers are so worried and anxious about Edward's absence and sit there wondering if he will come back (or in my case knowing he will come back and waiting for it) that readers don't focus on the story with Jacob as much. I know I didn't, and I realize now how much I missed then. it still breaks my heart just as much if not more when I read it, but another read through is def worth it
