Me. I'd prefer my romantic interests to have a life beyond me. Not commit suicide if I died, that sort of thing. It shows good mental health, which is always something important in a romantic partner.mariaferzillah wrote:He is just... perfect. I don't think I've met a human being who doesn't love him. Sometimes, Edward is judged on mistakes he does, because, again, is expected to be perfect. Edward suffers for Bella, sacrifices himself. Really, who doesn't want a boy that calls you 'the reason of my existence'?
Is there ANYONE who doesn't love edward? (excluding males)

He did have a life before Bella, quite a long one! His life was turned upside down when he met her. Once you meet someone who has that kind of impact on you, you are in that moment changed forever. The immense connection the two of them share is not something that is easily walked away from. I think the problem some people have with the relationship is the intensity of it is not something that is easily understood by some people who have not experienced some kind of their own special relationship. I am not saying I've ever experienced something as close as Edward and Bella's, but I do have a close relationship and living without him is not an option I could easily recover from.Crusader For Literature wrote: Me. But committing suicide if the love interest dies or is absent is unhealthy, a sign of an obsessive disorder, and not loving. Sure, the connection isn't easy to walk away from but suicide is never a sign of true love.ibelievealice wrote:He did have a life before Bella, quite a long one! Hehe. That made me laugh. Emotional codependency is SUCH a turnoff. Emotional independency is attractive! And when they are emotionally independent, but still choose to stick with you, because they really care about you, that there is true love!Crusader For Literature wrote:Me. I agree with both, but I think that being the "reason of existence" for someone is a little too much pressure. It works for Bella and Edward, but if a boy said that to me, I'd be stressed out thinking that if I broke up with him, then he'd commit suicide, and then it'd go all "sitcom-y" and i'd try and make him dislike me and it would end terribly. haha So no emotional codependency for me thank you. hahaRaphael1989 wrote:Hehe. Haha. Exactly. I'll pass on the drama, give me a good helping of someone with a real life!Brooklynn10 wrote:I agree with both, but I think that being the "reason of existence" for someone is a little too much pressure. LOL. Twice on Sundays. I like that.Brooklynn10 wrote:but still...give me Edward anyday of the week and twice on Sundays...lol
I most certainly do love Edward<3
Even without his looks, he's beautiful.
But, there are some people on the Lex who don't care much for him; it's insane! But I enjoying hearing what everyone thinks about all of the characters. (:
And then, of course, there's the girls who swoon over every move Edward makes. haha.
"Do I dazzle you?"
"Frequently."
"Frequently."

Not loving Edward is like.... asking rain during a drought. It's impossible for me!
Gah, there is no one I love more than Edward. He's perfect, my everything. It's so hard to believe he's not real too, thanks Stephenie.
