What if it all ends by Edward actually dieing?

I don't like that idea. My stomach went all funny when I read the title of this thread.


I like the idea of Jacob imprinting tho, to whoever it was above me that suggested it. Then Bella can work her sh!t out and move on from him, I was angry when she said she loved him, too. Team Edward <3.

I'd never forgive Stephenie if she killed off Edward!
Is anyone cruel enough/loathes him so much, that they'd also want him killed off?

That would be HORRIBLE!

It would be like Harry Potter dieing in Deathly Hallows. It can't happen! For the sake of us and the sake of our hearts staying in one piece! If Edward died I think my and Bella's reaction would be somewhat similar.

But what would happen if he died? Would the Volutri change Bella into a vampire? Using her to work for them? Would Bella just be forgotten? With all the danger gone and Edward dead (shutter)? Would she run away and live with Renee? What would happen?

If Edward die, so would Bella.

In one of Stephenie's FAQ's, one question is what are Edward, Bella, and Jacob's tragic flaws. Now, tragic flaws connect to tragic heros...

In order to become a tragic hero the person has to see their error...Edward kind of already has. And then...you have to die O_o

She didn't have to put 'tragic' flaw...it could have just been flaw...right? Or maybe I'm just making stuff up, that is always possible

Personally, I don't think she would, but there's no real way to know. I would guess that another minor character would have to die before Edward or Bella does...and I don't think Harry counts...

Stephenie said that Pride + Prejudice is a basis for the book, no one dies in that book.
If the basis was Romeo+Juliet i'd be scared, even though Romeo+Juliet is one of the things that i'm most passionate about [i have the book - read about ten million times, about a million spin-off movies and i recite quotes alot.] i couldnt bear to have Edward die, i used to have a thing about Romeo but i knew he died so i wasnt so unhappy when he did, but Edward - if he died it'd be just wrong. It'd be a crime, i'd sue Stephenie for causing damages to my health!


I dont think it will happen though, and i dont think Stephenie would let jacob be Bella's true love, because what always happens with truly loved literacy characters?

ok so i have read through most of this and with all of the talk of happy ending a horrible thought can into my mind. does anyone remember in eclipse when rosalie is telling bella about how she became a vampire and she asks, "would you like to hear my story bella? it doesn't have a happy ending-but which of ours does? if we had happy endings, we'd all be under gravestones now (154)."

so in respect wouldn't a happy ending involve edward's death. in order for that to happen though bella would have to go with him. this is all just really really sad, but if that is what the happy ending is supposed to be i'd much perfer an unhappy one with edward and bella together for eternity!!!!!

If he actually did, I think Bella would try to keep what happiness was left, and marry Jacob instead. Just to honor his memory.
But, she keeps comparing her life to Romeo and Juliet. I think she might commit suicide. I hope she marries Jacob, if it does happen.

It's too sad to think about, though!
