BEDWARD OR JELLA?

Bella and Edward will end up together, I'm pretty sure about that.

Having said this, I could understand if Bella were to choose Jacob... and I wouldn't cry my eyes out, either (not because I'm heartless, but because it's a complicated choice and I think Bella has a right to choose).

BUT: I think Bella made her choice in EC, and Stephenie's dream was about Edward and Bella, and well, Bella and Edward are meant for each other.

haha ok I just read Kaleb Nation's blog (aka The Twilight Guy) and I think he understands B/E perfectly =] Even though it kind of goes against my thinking he did bring up a good point about how Edward and Bella DO fight and they're not a perfect couple.

now this is what he wrote after reading the chapter in Twilight where Bella is in the hospital. I wonder how his views will change after reading New Moon? Eclipse?

I guess before I just overlooked (aka forgot) about how many times Bella and Edward fight and argue and aren't perfect. So, they are real in a sense.

Definately Bella and Edward.

They've tried it apart and as they both stated at different points it didn't work out so well for either of them. This in itself proves that they are experiencing a real relationship - the sweet highs of that inexplicable attraction that binds them together as well as the lowest of lows where they have both contemplated that they may not be the best thing for each other. Yet they chose to be together, with all other options considered, they decided, each in their own right, that this is what they want and need.

In the last page or two somebody mentioned that Edward doesn't have a personality, there is nothing to him but his obsession for Bella. Ummm, were we reading the same books? The vampires all have personalities - each one of them has characteristics that can be explained to individualise them, Carlisle is thoughtful and compassionate, Esme is loving and caring, and so on and so on. And Edward is a romantic. He's musical and well read, he displays a very witty, almost sarcastic sense of humour on more than one occasion and yes he happens to have found the one thing, the one person to give him hope that there was more meant for him than the life or existence he'd been living. This in itself has brought upon it's own set of personality traits to assign him, caring, protective, and yes a little obsessive.

Having said all that I also love Jacob's character. He's got spunk and a different kind of love to offer. But I don't ultimately think it's what Bella wants or needs. SM mentioned several times in the series that Bella was an old soul, born middle aged and gaining each year. Jacob doesn't seem to get that more serious, mature side to her personality and quite frankly he deserves more. She can't love him completely, and he deserves somebody that can.

Yeah, and Edward does have a personality. He is over pertective, unsure of himself at times, totally oblivious at other times, confident, he overacts, he's deep, he runs fast , he has faults, yells, then realizes his mistakes, asks for forgivness, forgives, FOR GOODNESS SAKE how many of us would have forgiven our girlfriend/boyfriend for kissing another person?? He trys to understand why she is doing what she is doing and gives her the space to take the time and make the mistakes she needs to in order to make the right dicision. SO he is also patient, understand, and very loving. How does that constitute as having no personality???
Now I've seen the kind of guy with no personality, they sit in front of the TV all day, or play video games, only grunt once in a while when they are hungry, and could care less if you watch them play or run around naked just as long as you don't get in front of the TV!!!
There is a big difference between the two!!!

KT, I suppose in some forms many different people receive an Edward and a Jacob, to which do you choose? That is up to you. It's harder when you do love both of them.

And sure Jacob would be able to keep her alive and they could have children, but to me they'd both be settling. Bella, before she sees Carlisle's car in NM is thinking that since she can't be with Edward, Jacob is good too. Jacob wants to be with Bella who isn't as in love with him as he with her. I hope that made sense.

That is a good point. Edward and Bella do argue. They get mad at each other, but they work it out. Sometimes he gives, other times she does. And they compromise. Jacob and Bella have argued too and they do work it out as well.

Breathe Bella, I really like how you described Edward with his personality. You did it far better than I would have. He does have his fun side, but he is also got the serious, studious one. Jacob is more of the fun side. And Bella does have an old soul, which is why perhaps her and Edward seem to work.

Bella/Edward and Bella/Jacob are different and yet have very similar characteristics. Bella can be happy with both. Jacob provides certain things that Edward can't give. But Bella has certain things with Edward that Jacob can't give. It's hard to explain to the heart things that should be logical. Love can't be looked at logically as Bella notices. The magnet analogy works really well. Bella can't be both of them--to merge her relationships with the two guys would probably equate into a perfect one, however unrealistic.

Stephanie Meyer shows us that Bella does have two loves, but Edward is the one that Bella can't be without. When Edward left, half of her left, Jacob helped heal it, but he didn't replace that part of the soul.

Okay, I'm not sure how much of that completely made sense. I have a lot in my head and I don't know how much made it on here making sense, so I'll stop here.

haha I think it's kind of funny that not ONE person for Jacob Damn now Im a grown man reading these books which singles me out already but now Im the underdog AGAIN with backing Jacob lol, Jella all the way.

Yeah, and I am a grown married woman with a child reading these books and it would seem my fellow post mates here seem to think they know all about love and what it takes to be in true love.

So what if it seems superficial that after one month or a few months that this is true love for Bella and Edward...well in the beginning it was more of an infatuation that really grew into something else. Everyone seems to be losing sight that this courtship has lasted nearly two years by the time Break Dawn comes out. Some adults don't even wait that long to get married!

Instead of calling me "Honey" why don't you people ask me what my perspective is? Some of you seem to have nothing but sour apples for our story or each other which makes me wonder why some people bother being here? It makes me wonder who has known what true love was or really is. Not all of us are teenagers so watch how you address each other.
