Actually, what scared me more than anything was after Edward left, and we entered October. And November. And December. With nothing, just empty pages. Its amazing how much that said, even though there were no words.

I don't think anyone has mentioned anything about the "cult" yet. The first time Bella saw Jake after he was changed... that scene gave me such chills. Seeing "Bella's sun," changed so horribly. It was just awful.

Other than that, I was just shaking from the poor tourists. The villians in New Moon were terrifying. Even the vampires like Heidi, (the bait) who we only saw for about five seconds were horrifying.

I'm very impressed with Stephanie's ability to darken the story, while still maintaining the humor, warmth, and love of twilight.
She is the first to fall
The first of us to fall upon this barricade
Her name was Eponine
Her life was cold and dark, yet she was unafraid.
We fight here in her name
She will not die in vain.
She will not be betrayed.

Do I dare disturb the universe?

I know! I was turning the pages and my jaw just dropped. And then I started shaking like mad. The effect those few pages cause are just incredible.

It was ridiculus...just how much you got from one word on each page. It ooozed with information...it just said everything Bella felt...nothing!

I don't know about you people but I enjoy the scary moments....Thei're the best part of the book...I loved it.....

Specially when they go under the tunel(in Italy) and Felix and Demetri are behind them and their traped...

The whole book was very spooky but then again so was Twilight specially at the end...

These books are not horror books and I think that is why I love them, I cannot say that I am into vampires in general. But I have to say that ending scene in Italy with the Volturi was effective. I kid you not when I say that I had nightmares that night after reading it. It got the point across in so many words and that is all it needed.

There was no REAL scary moment for me...

BUT IF I JUST HAD TO PICK ONE... it would be the time when that creepy business guy was listening in on Bella and Alice on the airplane... =P I don't know... HE CREEPS ME OUT. It gives me the feeling that he just MIGHT (and I say that lightly) play a future role in the series.

yah...the business guy caught me off guard...i was waiting for him to reappear. and i just might still be...hrmmm.

there is no scary moment, but the most tense was when edward was telling bella he didn't want her. i knew it was coming, but it hurt sooo much. i think i might take it personally because i've heard that speech. that speech sucks a lot of !*$#! that was my number one tense moment. the volturi are just the essence of creepy...especially marcus. the silent ones are the ones to be wary of.

number three was when alice has the vision of edward and how bella didn't catch on at first. my heart stopped beating when i read that it wasnt carlisle that called but edward. miss stephenie sure knows how to wring our hearts into a fist...when in reality it does resemble one...a bleeding fist. man i love clive owen.

I didn't find any of the parts scary. I'm a bit of a cynic, but I guess during most of the parts I have heard here as scary, I am optimistic about this. Instead of feeling sorry for the people that died in the Volturri seen, I laughed at Bella's reaction. Instead of being sad that Edward left, I just said "He's going to come back later in this book," and instead of being scared when Bella almost drowned, I thought "Atleast she can 'hear' Edward."

I actually really like Jane... she's so... vampire-like. I love the Volturi, they just sort of remind you that vampires are supposed to be the bad guys. I don't mind the whole dinner thing, I guess I'm too used to death in books and movies to be freaked out by vampires eating a bunch of people. I found that rather normal

Now, you want to know what the REALLY scary part was for me? When I turned the page and read

October

now THAT scare the heck out of me. It scared me, it freaked me, it shocked me, it made me tremble with amazement. It made me sob for crying out loud!

So yeah, bring on the killer vampires, just don't take Edward away from Bella!
