I thought the scariest part was with volturi and jane. I was shivering during that part. The break up was scary on a level....................but not the same level as the jane scene to me.

The first was when Bella was racing toward the clock tower, and the clock started ringing and she thought she was too late, and I was shaking so bad I had to put the book down (but not close it) and eat an Oreo a safe distance away so it didn't get any of those stupid crumbs on it. The other part was when Bella was in the sewer thing under the city. It was dark and scary enough as is, but on top of that, she a) didn't know where she was, where she was going, and what was waiting for her when she got there and b) that even though Edward was there, he seemed so...distant. I was afraid that he was going to tell her all those terrible things again, like in the woods in the beginning, and after being so close to him again, that she was going to completely lose it, go mad, and die. The whole part that followed that, with Jane and the people and the lady with the rosary, had me shaking with chills running up and down my spine. The whole thing scared me out of my wits.

One other thing that kind of creeped me out was the little kid with the vampire fangs. I don't know what it was about that, but it gave the the shivers.

The clock tower part scared the living daylights out of me. I kept thinking, 'Bella isn't going to make it. Edward is going to die.' Even when she did make it, I thought that he would refuse her. If Edward hadn't explained things to Bella in chaper 23, I probably would've gona into some form of book depression. XD

I think that New Moon was a tad bit frightening in general. Everthing can change in one page, and that scared me a bit. Whenever something happened, I jostled my brain for possiblilites, and of course I made my little assumptions about everything, but I was never sure of them until something happened that set them in stone. And that was strange for me.
He was a myth, a name that the children whispered to one another so they wouldn't be able to sleep without the lights on. A ghost, or the monster under the bed with a dark twist. But at that moment, he was more human than anyone could ever imagine.

OMG the race against the clock. That was the scariest part for me. I know it wasn't as dark as others, but just the thought that she would no make it in time

I found myself in such agony...pushing her to run faster, to be louder...to SAVE him!!! And then she finally crashes into him...but he thinks she is a dreaming and I just wanted to slap him upside the head to wake up...to be safe!

That little kid with the fangs when Bella was trying to reach Edward...talk about creepy!

But then ...the one character that made every single hair on the back of my neck stand was JANE. Holy moly she was freaky!!! And her power...to make you think you are in terriible pain like that...to just look at you and inflict such a notion...

Ohmygoodness. Jane just drove me up the wall. I flinched everytime she was mentioned. She was definitely dark and scary.

In the meadow with Laurent was pretty scary but, I think that the image of Bella seing Victoria's hair in the water gave me chills.
And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
What a stupid lamb.
What a sick, masochistic lion.

Oh gosh yes. Think of a little prepubescent 13 year old girl with creepy bright red eyes in some billowing cloak who can make you think you're in the worst pain you've ever felt. Ugh. She is, by far, the scaries character in these books so far. Scarier than James, Victoria, any of the other Volturi... I guess it's good that she's with the Volturi and not some rabid vampire hunter/killer though. They have some control over her, and they do seem to like Edward/Alice/Bella(once she becomes a vampire), plus they're friends with Carlisle. But still... *shivers*

"So what you're saying is, I'm your brand of heroin?" I teased, trying to lighten the mood.
He smiled swiftly, seeming to appreciate my effort. "Yes, you are exactly my brand of heroine."

The Volturi didn't really scare me, mostly because I found them unoriginal and sort of cheesy. Jane just sort of annoyed me how full of herself she was. The creepiest part for me was when Bella was in bed and she heard like the nails going down her window. That was tense. And I was really scared, or more actually sad, when Jacob started joining Sam's coven. I was all like "JACOB! NOOOOO!"

I think the Volturi in Italy were the scariest for me. I had the creepiest mental images of them underground, all sadistic and arrogant. Thinking about it gives me chills. How could Carlise ever have lived with them? He's on another plane of existence than they are.

Ahahaha!! Yes!

I think the reason Jane is scarier then James, Victoria or even Laurent in New Moon is that fact that she makes you 'think' something that is really not there.

James was a tracker...he wanted to hurt Bella, for real. Same as Victoria and Laurent. You can fight against something that is real...bottom line is that there is always something you can do against a real threat.

But take that away and you got yourself a really scary thing! I can't fight against something that isn't there...something that is in my mind...worse yet, it's not my own thought...somebody else si putting it there. How the heck to I fight that?

She was twisted...I enjoyed her. lol!

yeah..... the scariest parts for me were when bella was alone and she would start to think about edward and she would clutch her stomach and even though i know she wouldn't go suicide or whatever, i was still very scared.....

and also something that is very different from Twilight, this on has SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more emotion..... y'know? twilight was wonderful i'm not saying it wasn't but New Moon was just.... very pure pain and human emotion, i loved it lol
