How long did you wait?

Post by t1gr355 »

I read Twilight in early 2006 (I think), when it was released in the UK - my librarian set it aside for me coz she knew it was the kind of book I liked, so I was one of the first to read it in my city.

That was great, until I needed someone to talk to about it (and boy, did I!), becaue my friends are all pretty slow readers. Either that or I said "vampire" and they switched off.

I happened upon the Lex in November of 2006, but by then the fever had died down. New Moon details were blurry, and far, far, away.

So I lost the whole Twilight thread until June 2007, after my GCSEs, when I found New Moon, raced through it, and then began to thirst for Eclipse.

I'm having a hard time waiting as it is - I feel sorry for those people who have been waiting longer!

I have trouble with coherence. Please bear with me.

(P.S. For ease of mind and/or typing, please feel free to call me t1g.)

I know. I just read twilight this summer and then I got new moon from the net and I just could not wait to receive it and now I am waiting for eclipse. I don't know how I am ging to wait for breaking dawn??
I was already past trying to live through one week at a time, or even on day. I was fighting to make it through a single hour. It was only a matter of time - and not much of it- before I showed up at your window and begged you to take me back. I'd be happy to beg now, if you'd like that.

My sister persuaded me to read Twilight last fall...so almost a year ago. It feels like longer to me.

She was embarrassed to tell me what the book was about..."vampire love" just turns off so many people :) So she begged me to keep an open mind, and assured me that I would love it. I did. I read it in a day, called her the second I was done and insisted that she get me her copy of New Moon immediately! She did, and I read that in a day as well. So I've been waiting ever since, DYING to know what happens next. And of course I've read both books over and over again in the meantime to keep myself in-the-loop. Harry Potter has been a nice distraction. I love Harry. And of course there are other things to read. But MAN I've really had my eye on August for a long time now!

Let's see... I read "Twilight" in January or February of 2007, and I loved it. I loved it so much!! I couldn't put it down. I was talking to one of my friend's about "New Moon" and asked her if she liked it and she did the clutch at her heart and sighed and was like "It plays with your heart!" And I was like "Huh?" And then she was like "Don't read it until it's closer to the time when the third one comes out." And I was like "Um, no way!" So, I went and bought "New Moon" and read it in like two days. The only reason I read it so fast is because i just KNEW Edward was coming back and I had to get to that part (I never read the ends of books), but yes... so now its been like 6 months! Waaaaa! And I can't wait.

OK, so that's my little story. :)

I read Twilight in late 2006 and finished in 2 days and immediately went to Barnes & Noble to buy New Moon. I have been waiting for Eclipse ever since. Once Eclipse was available I preordered and I am counting down the days.

I feel bad for others who have waited longer but lets all remember it will be worth I am sure.
Yes I want a "Cold One" and no I am not talking about a drink!

I asked my friend last October-ish if she knew any books that I would like. The next day she handed me Twilight and basically said 'read!' and I did. Few days later, came back with Twilight and demanded New Moon haha. Then school picked up and I basically forgot about it until April-ish, and now I have my own copy :D

Well I remember after seeing a poster in our library for Twilight I asked them if they had it and my librarian said no. So I asked them to order it in for me. But they wouldn't do it.

So i left it alone for a month and then on the 22nd of June, I couldn't get rid of the feeling of needing to read it.

So I ordered Twilight and New Moon of Amazon.com asap.

Best thing I have ever done on impulse. And I read them both in 2 days. I've been reading them again since, (Is currently reading Twilight while her sister reads New Moon again)

But I swear, the next month is going to be so slow because I am waiting for my copy of Eclipse to come from the states.

But I tell you the last 18 days (19 for some places) is going to be horrid. The anticipation.

I've only been waiting a few months for Eclipse. I just found out about the Twilight series at the beginning of 2007, so I haven't been waiting long. I feel bad for those who have been following the series since the beginning, they've had to wait much longer than I have.
