I have a question. People are bringing up the topic of bella being a new vampire and being blood thirsty all the time. I am very confused about this. When Carlisle was changed he drank animal blood and found that he could survive on that and that it quenched his thirst and he tried to stay away from humans. When and if bella becomes a vampire she will be thirsty and of course she will drink from an animal. I think some people think she is going to want blood 24 7 but bree in eclipse only went crazy when she smelled human blood. So I feel that just as long as she drinks animal blood and is NOT around humans she will be an average vampire. I dont think when she is at home with just the cullens that she will be wanting blood all the time. That is why I dont know why bella was so worried that she would want blood more than him. She will only want it more than him when she is around a human right or when she is thirsty from not feeding in a while. Am I right about this or will she fene for blood all the time even when she is NOT around humans. I feel as long as she lays low and keeps away from humans for awhile it wont be as bad as you think. Please enlighten me on this subject if you can because I cant see a vampire acting the way bree was all the time because in that case how would victoria been able to train them if they were like that all the time.

Re-read the chapter in EC where Jasper tells his story about how he came about and about newborns. Bella won't be able to help her blood lust... but fortunately she will have the Cullen family to fall back upon for strength and support to help guide her and keep her away from the human population.

I think that since bella has conciously made the decision to be a vampire, she will have more of a concious than the newborns that were attacked blindly and had no idea what was going on, they just knew they wanted blood.
of course she'll still thirst for blood just as much as the next person, i just think that she'll come in on the level as jasper was when he met the cullens
still wanting to attack humans, but knowing that there are alternatives

I imagine a newborn vamp to be like a crack baby, or actually an heroine addicted baby. opium withdrawl can be deadly, so the babies cry for it even though they don't know what it is, physically their bodies need the drug. so eating animals is like taking methadone, prevents you from dying from withdrawl but giving you any sastisfaction.
it's really hard to convice people that methadone is a good way to go, so with Bella will have to the urge to try animals, because she knows it's right, but she won't have the control over her physical cravings. she'll be the addict first entering rehab.
Jasper has been through rehab many times...

I'm going to post all of my predictions just for good measure. Although, realistically I know they can't ALL happen:
-Jacob will imprint
-Bella won't be changed when planned (the honeymoon)
-Bella will be turned into a vampire
-She will have an amazing gift
-She won't have an overwhelming thirst for human blood
-She will be the only one able to defeat Alec
-The volturi and the denali clan will make an appearance
-Jacob won't be at the wedding
-Edward will get cold feet about changing Bella

WOW Thank you everyone for your response to my question. I just hope S.M. will find a way to make it easier for bella if she turns into a vampire. I want her to be a vampire sooooo bad but I dont want her to go through all that. I guess that is what sacrafice is all about.

IF Bella becomes a vampire...
What if Bella decides that a clean break would be best for Charlie and Renee and pretends to be dead?
Eg. Holds her breath and being a vampire she will be deathly cold with not heartbeat/pulse and her marble like skin could be mistaken for rigor mortus (or whatever it is)
And then Carlisle retrieves her from the morgue?

I dont think Bella will want to do this but she wont be able to see them for the first year and after that she will not age and they will notice.

I think Bella seeing Charlie's reaction to Jake 'dissapearing' for a few weeks (search parties, posters everywhere) will maybe sway her to consider 'faking' her death to prevent a similar reaction.

Faking Bella's death is a good option, but as a new born she wouldn't have the control to pretend to be a corpse...

i think the Cullens will set up some sort of a helicopter crash later and say that Bella died

Yes, I think knowing that she is dead would help Renee and Charlie get over it. I was reading an article recently about a mother who was absolutely positive that her daughter was dead because she had been missing for years, but was still trying to find out exactly what had happened. She said that to have that knowledge would help bring closure, because, even years after, she still didn't have it.

I think that if Bella just disappeared, Charlie and Renee might cling to some hope that she is alive and will live their lives just... waiting. In my mind, it's better to be able to grieve properly and then "get over it" as best you can.

Helicopters crash all the time, so hey could just crash one over the ocean, and it would be very plausible if the body was "never found" or "eaten by sharks"
