EVERY time i read the preface i see something totally different. i'm now to the point that i'm like i have NO clue. But i think she will end up being turned in the end. i think we might have to wait through most of book for it, but she'll be turned. otherwise whats the point of the books? in the Host, you know what choices Wanda had, and what choices those around her had once she made the choice she does. and i always had the gut feeling i knew what choice would be made, i just didnt know if SM would actually do it, but she did. and it was the happest ending you could make in the situation that allowed for them to live their lives and make an impact on their situation.

i think bella will be turned. i think her and edward will live an even more unconventional life than the cullens already do. i like the idea that bella would have an oversion to blood, helping her to deal with her thirst (and we know its possible to be a vampire and not drink any human blood--Rosalie has never and she makes it sound like Carlisle has only ever drank the blood of those he's turned). as for her freaking out about who she's going to be when she turns into a vampire, i think that's just her over reacting. she's made her choice, we know she doesnt go back on that. we also know that she has a tendancy to over think things and get herself into a state that she starts to freak out a bit, and i think thats a part of what she's feeling in Eclipse.

But let me ask those who dont want bella to be changed, whats the point of the books??? We gone through 3 books of a love story between 2 people and all the pit falls that can happen to them (including one of them falling in love with someone else and having to choose which love means more to them). if she doesnt choose Edward, or if she isnt changed, what the point of the series? at this moment i'm reminded how 3 tv shows end, 2 vampire shows and one about the mob. i didnt really like the ending of any of the 3. (buffy the vampire slayer, angel, and sopranos). you watch the shows for years and then its over. no real ending (city falls into the ground and the kids are in a bus, in the middle of a fight that you dont find out how it ends, and blackness) they leave you going what was the point. I'm not saying that SM couldnt end it with bella not being turned, but knowing what i know right now, that doesnt seem to fit. i see it being an ending like the Host where SM could write more stories in the future about edward and bella, but they'd be differnt stories. this is a saga about their love and getting together.

hehe. i think it'd be interesting if she ended it with Bella waking up after being turned and you get that she's sitting up and looking into edwards eyes and that's where it ends. and then you get the epilogue being a time in the future where its a bit of a flash back of what its like over the last few months/years whatever and she just kind of talks about what she's gone through and what she's discovered.

but i'm not even sold on that version either. hehe. SM can take it in SO many directions.

I think that when her truck stopped working was like symbolizing that she could leave her old life behind. The truck was bought from Jacob to Charlie to Bella, so it may symbolize that she can move on.

The book's tag line is '... will take your breathe away ...' so if vampires don't breathe, when they become vampires they stop breathing, but it may get 'a little uncomfortable'. It may be telling us Bella is becoming a vampire after all, since she won't breathe. The tag line includes the emphasis on 'breathe'. So yes, I think she will be changed, not only because of this, but because I just think she will.

And the Volturi... something's going on with them. Stephenie Meyer said something like everything would be solved. And the Volturi are a problem.

I think the tagline is a marketing thing.. I don't think it is a SM thing...

I agree with you mariaferzillah I really believe that the truck dying is showing that Bella is ready to break all ties with her human life. I think that a conflict between Leah and Bella is really far-fetched. There are some hard feelings but, I don't think there will be any cat fights. I also think that Charlie is going to get into it with Billy and he is going to discover something he was never meant to learn. I just really feel that something is going to happen with Charlie( I just don't know what). I also wonder if all the extra protection for Bella is just a red herring and something happens to Edward instead. (I HOPE I AM DEAD WRONG ABOUT THIS). Plus I feel a HUGE coflict with the volturi after Bella is changed of course.
