"IF" Bella changes who will do it?

I'm hoping that Edward will, but like other people have said he will hesitate and try and lengthen it out... which he has already done of course. If not I think either carlisle or alice will do it, or maybe jasper, that might be a surprise actually.

rosalie doing it would b totally awesome and unexpected. though i would definitely rather it be Edward, Rosalie would b the next good choice. to me that would mean that she finally accepted Bella into the family.

I don't think that Edward will hesitate because he does not think he can "stop".

Edward already stopped at the end of Twilight when he had to suck the venom back out of her. That is what we call "foreshadowing"
Also, the "Mind of Matter" conversation in Eclipse was a strong example of why he WILL be able to do the transformation.
He already proved his ability to stop, so when/if he is the one to change Bella, he will have no vampire-issues standing in his way, just his values.

I think, though something will go wrong with the chnging, I think Edward will do it just because he promised he would. *shrugs* Though I'm open to alternatives.

I think Edward won't go back on his word. He wouldn't break his promise, and that's not why I doubt it'll be him.
Knowing the Twilight Series, there will be some unexpected twist and Bella's change won't go as smoothly as she thinks it will. Something will happen that'll make her transformation inevitable. As for who it is, I'm not sure - Edward would do it if he was around, but what if he was gone when the time came? Then my best bet is Rosalie, because it would mean that she accepted the fact that Bella wants to become a vampire. She wouldn't be able to blame Bella for changing if she did it herself, either.

So, in short, I'm not very sure about the who part yet at all, but I'm quite certain that it'll happen out of necessity. It'll be a very emotional part of the book, though =)

It will most likely be Edward:

There was just something about him being the one to make the choice - to want to keep me enough that he wouldn't just allow me to be changed, he would act to keep me. It was childish, but I liked the idea that his lips would be the last good thing I would feel. Even more embarrassingly, something I would never say aloud, I wanted his venom to poison my system. It would make me belong to him in a tangible, quantifiable way.

I just think that if Edward were meant to do it...somehow the process would've already been sped up, and 'Eclipse' would've ended with the change. But it's dragged on and he's put so many stipulations into it.

Plus, I think it's significant that Rosalie is the only one at this point who has either not fully accepted Bella and/or sticks to her vote of 'No.'

Also, she may still partly blame herself for passing on false information that led Edward to nearly killing himself. I could see Bella being hurt very badly, Rosalie happening to be there and defending her, and Rosalie remembering what almost happened last time when Edward and the family thought Bella had died...and deciding to 'atone,' so to speak, for it by just changing her then and there.
