The Honeymoon

^^She's not. It's all going to be PG stuff, since it is YA. Remember, her kids are reading this, as are many, many fellow LDS readers, including my mom who would flip out and take the whole series away from me if there was anything sleazy. And I too would be disappointed, considering these are the only books I go into without a clenched stomach, prepared to shut it when necessary. Sorry for those of you who want all that detail, but there are some of us out there who do not want to read that and have trouble finding romance books that don't have that trash in it, so please let us have our refuge in Twilight!!!

I'm not sure where I heard this, but has anybody else heard that BD won't be YOUNG Adult? I heard that it will be classified as Adult because the topics are more mature. Now, I don't think it will be classified adult because of the honeymoon scene. As people have said, SM is LDS, and plus, Edward is such a innocent man from another time, that I think SM will give him his privacy.

BUT: SM is very descriptive of everything else those two have been up to, so I am not entirely sure about how she'll get out of this one without compromising her writing style. My guess: they'll try, but they have to stop, because it's too dangerous. And, ahem, I couldn't imagine it working, I mean, he is made of marble, right... that would HURT.

ok so i have just bn back to th sm site and i'm not sre how to read wha it says, cos it says that "2008 MAJOR YEAR FOR MEYER WITH DEBUT OF ADULT NOVEL AND TWILIGHT MOVIE"
so that can really be taken two ways with host being out cos i beleive that is an adult novel. or it could mean that breaking dawn IS an adult novel. i don't really know

personally i will be happy wiht the book whether it goes into all th gory details or not. but i think that we may see something of what they ill be up to if not all of it.

i just really hope that they do get married and that they get their honnymoon without any problems, after that let the battlse begin

The adult book she was refering to was the Host...

However, she has said on the Twilight Moms Q and A session that if she had tried to publish Breaking Dawn first, it wouldn't have gotten away with the YA label. But not becasue of the honey moon scene, because some of the characters are dealing with more mature issues, instead of YA ones (like prom/bf drama/graduation, etc). Basically, becasue Bella's becomeing an adulte (well, sort of, I suppose because if she becomes a vampire, she won't physically age...but that's besides the point, )[/quote]

I don't think Stephenie is going to write THE scene becuase she dosen't come off as that type of person to me; she's very sweet and an excellent author- one who wouldn't write a love making scene in a book that she knows is being read by children as young as eleven.

def agree that theyprob won't ahve all the gory details, but i think that there will be something in there. and of course there are most likley to be comments from emmett if the rest of them find out what they ahve ben up to i can imagine some of them being rather amuzing.

LOL I can totaly see Emmett teasing bella and Edward when they got back to the house. I mean, everyone knows that they were both virgins and that Bella really wanted it so it might be a little awkward too....

LOL yea I love Emmet's teasing. He's so funny! Sometimes it seems weird that someone like him is with someone like Rosalie....but back on topic. I hope that shows up in the book too. I have to say I hope that SM goes into the details (in a romanticly clouded type of way) at least some, cause we've all been waiting for it. And the only way any of us will know what it's like to have that human experience with a vampire (and I for one want to know) will be if she does write about it.

Hi-- newbie here.. first post. I just got into the books and read all three in one week. I'm obsessed... and I only have to wait 22 more days till the last one...I can't imagine how you guys have been waiting so long! Anyway... question... (sorry if this has been asked... I tried my best to search to see if it wasn't but there is so much on this site!)

do you think SM *will* do the scene that we are all dying for? I actually love that they have waited until after being married and I think she morally has set it up properly... but I'm wondering if she'll go through that scene especially since shes LDS, which are pretty conservative... ? Thoughts?

I haven't really thought too much about the honeymoon. I imagine it will be somewhere Bella never knew she always wanted to go. Edward, I'm sure, knows every corner of the earth, but anywhere he goes with Bella will be like discovering something new and wonderful. Edward might feel compelled to give Bella as "human" a honeymoon as he can come up with. It will be someplace personal and beautiful, I'm sure. Whether they spend their days in the meadows of Peru or sightseeing along the Sienne...as long as they're together I don't think it matters much. Perhaps he may take her to visit the places where he grew up in Illinois? At this point it could be anywhere. There may not even BE a honeymoon! *Braces heart* I'm prepared for (gulp) anything.

Breaking Down is still categorized as YA. But as was discussed on the Twilightmoms.com forums, if this had been the first book in the series given the adult themes that it would have been categorized as adult reading. Now adult themes isn't necessarily sex. We will be dealing with mature subject matter as life and death, making hard choices, meaning of what life really is, marriage, and yes the eventuality of what happens after marriage naturally! These are the natural progression of this story line, but they are more mature subjects as I am to understand that they are going to be presented in this last novel because our heroine Bella is growing up and moving into adulthood quickly. I have a feeling that this novel will be very different than what we've been used to reading. Hopefully will be the best one yet!
