My thoughts

Post by Alice's Twin Sister »

I am going to expand upon my thoughts for the theme I had before. I think that the theme should be that of sacrifice for true love. Given what we know about the title of the book we can assume it doesn't mean the breaking of dawn in the literal sense. Instead it could mean the coming realization of a new beginning, a new era...the idea that Bella will be stronger, and more powerful as a vampire than it had ever "dawned" on anyone in the book.

Bella will sacrifice her humanity, her ties to her human family, her human friendships, her ties to Jacob, her life as it once was for a life yet to be as a vampire. Analogy could be trading in the old slow beast that was her truck for a newer sleeker faster car. Trades have consequences, repercussions, compromises. Bella can't love Edward for forever becasue she can't live forever as a human. So there is no forever without sacrifice.

b.) Sacrificing for Tl
Edward: "Do you want me to sing to you? I'll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away." <---- *Awwwwww!!!^-^******

If the theme is "sacrifice" I do not think it will be Bella, Edward or Jacob doing the sacrificing*.
SM has said in lots of interviews that all three of them get a happy ending, if any of them died that would not be a happy ending for any of them :?

I think sacrifice does not neccesarily mean dying for another- like sacrificing your own happiness for the happiness of another. They could still, later on, get a happy ending, though. I would say this could happen for Jacob.

as Alice's Twin Sister pointed out, Bella will be Sacrificing her human life, for her vampire life to be with Edward forever.
and there are main other possible conflicts which could be solved with other smaller scrifices. like maybe the cullens have to put aside some of their beliefs for a time to reslove something with the Volturi

I can see it that way as Bella sacrificing her human life. and the small sacrifices you talk of.

Just nothing big like dying for good.

Sacrifice to me is a common theme in the books, and a common theme in love, so i don't think that will be a theme of breaking dawn, but more of the twilight series.
There's been sacrificing, fighting, etc etc already, but they have yet to actually claim each other, so i think the theme of BD will be Claiming true love

Yes and no.. Yes that is already true and They both did that at the end of Eclipse...I still say Finalizing true love starting a new life together and being together...
" Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."
& " I am a VIRGO" I love this because I am a VIRGO too!! so I know where her stubbornness comes from...

Maybe.....
1) Dieing for true love
2) Holding on to true love

And thats all my usually overactive imagination has for me at 10:30 at night with no recent source of excess sugar or caffine...*sigh*
""But I am a werewolf," he said unwillingly . "And he is a vampire," he added with obvious revulsion.
"And I'm a Virgo!" I shouted, exasperated."
