ring
I have a ring that once belonged to my great grandmother. It has been passed down mother to youngest daugter when the daughter reaches the age of 13. The stones fell out before it was passed to me, but when I was presented with it my mother said we would get the stones set again (that was several years ago). The stones were ruby, but other than that it matches exactly what I pictured when I read the discription. I will take a picture of it and post a link but you will have to imagine the diamonds.

I've been thinking about this topic for quite some time, trying to find the perfect ring. I was watching one of my favorite movies, "The Phantom of the Opera" and then it hit me
. The ring that Raoul gives to Christine in the movie is absolutely gorgeous, and fits the description in the book. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, so if someone has, sorry.
here are some pictures:

(this is a replica, so it doesn't look exactly like the one in the movie, but it has the general idea. For example, the web of diamonds look pointed, but in the movie their more round like a flower. =])

By the way, the ring, as I said, is gorgeous in the movie, so if you haven't seen it, watch it, and you'll know what I mean.
aside from the band being silver(it might look gold in the movie pictures but it's silver) , it has the oval shape, and the web of diamonds around the oval. "The Phantom of the Opera" takes place in 1870, which shows the fact it's antique and almost around Edward's early 1900 period. This is the ring I picture when I think about Bella's ring.
what do you think?

This topic really makes me wish that Stephenie has a picture of what the ring looks like and won't show us until Breaking Dawn is out.
I really hope she does.
I really hope she does.

I'm pretty sure if she did have a real picture of it she would have given it to Twilight Teez to use to design their ring because she would want it to look similar and she already signed off on the TT ring.pirates!atthedisco wrote:This topic really makes me wish that Stephenie has a picture of what the ring looks like and won't show us until Breaking Dawn is out.

That's true.
Let me rephrase:
I hope Stephenie shares her ideas and thoughts about the ring and what she invisioned it to look like while she was writing.
But then again, I'm sure if she allowed TwilightTeez to do that design, then I'm sure it's similar to what she invisioned.
