The Ring
Alright, we have had enough of a demand for this. Here is a thread for Bella's engagement ring.
While on your hunt for pictures of her ring.
*Please do not post actual picture of the ring, ONLY LINKS.
*Stick to the discription in the book. The Bella's dress thread turned into a "what I would want the dress to look like" thread instead of trying to find a close matching dress to what was discribed. I am sure you all have Excellent taste in jewelry but this is about Edward's Mother's taste, not yours.
The Discription:
"The face was a long oval, set with slanting rows of glittering round stones. The band was gold-delicate and narrow. The gold made a fragile web around the diamonds."
I personally picture a <0> formation.

I've wracked my brain for ideas of what I think the ring looks like, but I can't come up with anything. I'm thrilled to see the LINKS people put up here to see how they view Bella's ring.
I will say that Twilight Teez made a post and said that because Bella's bracelet was selling so well they'd definitely CONSIDER selling her ring. Of course that's a whole other ball game by working with Steph, but I thought that was pretty awesome.

I think that ring is somewhat correct, but from the book and what I've read Stephenie say about the ring, there is no actual solitaire. Plus, there are no diamonds on the band itself. I've searched different antique jewelery sights, and saw that between 1900-1920 is the Edwardian era, which is sort of funny.

I like that ring alright except for maybe the diamonds in the band though..I'm searching loads of sites but none seem to fit!

I've searched through a bunch of rings from the Edwardian Era (hah!) and can't seem to find anything without diamonds on the band. I'm still looking! But that's the closest and pretty much best one I've seen so far.

Re: The Ring
I personally don't like old-fashioned things (I would've wanted something from Tiffany's for myself
) but Edward giving Bella his mother's ring is very special. I absolutely love it. It holds a special meaning than another, regular, old ring would've and to me, it seems like it binds them together in another way and brings them closer together.
The whole proposal does to me. When they get married, I think I'm going to cry tears of joy because they're going to feel how it is to belong to each other even more than they already do. But I'm getting a little off topic here.
This ring sounds very beautiful. I wonder how big it actually is. It's described as a long oval, but I want to know if it's medium-sized or quite large. Like if you see it on Bella's finger, would it be like a "Whoa, nice ring"? kind of thing.
Maybe Stephenie has a picture of this.
(Wouldn't it be sweet if there was something special engraved in the back of it?)

That's what I was picturing. It seems like a very pretty ring, not one of those old-fashioned rings that I probably wouldn't like because I don't like old-fashioned things. But if I saw this ring, I bet I would be mesmerized by it. I love the fact that there's lots of glittering stones and how the gold makes a fragile web around the diamonds. I also like the fact that it's gold.Cocoa wrote:
