I'm not sure that would be such a bad thing. Personally, I think Bella needs a healthy dose of reality, and maybe that would initiate it.

Well don't forget its based on another novel also, which we don't know. I was speculating with some other people about the other novel being Through the Looking Glass. It makes sense if you think about it.

But as someone else stated, Midsummer Nights Dream ends happily with everything in order and all the right people with each other.

I wonder who the "fairy" who screws everything up will be hahahaha.

I figured it would be along the lines of the imprinting like Edward talks about in Eclipse. The magic that Puck/Oberon use is supposed to make the person fall in love with the first peron/thing he sees.

Of course that isn't quite true in the books. It goes along the same lines. Tatania fell in love even though the guy had a donkey for a head. She was completely infatuated. Much like imprinting.

EEPA 1000 EYES!!!!!!!!

What if Leah imprints on Edward and he has to spend a bunch of time with her because of it and thats why the couples get all confused!

And Bella gets all po-ed because of it and goes in search of Jacob!

i seriously and tremendously doubt it's physically and utterly IMPOSSIBLE for a werewolf to imprint on a vampire- it's against their nature

Yes they do all get mixed up however the story is really funny it is a comedy not a tragedy so no worries.. I am not sure how much is really tied into it but I really wouldn't worry... I am just really curious about the other book... Its about time that there is some comic relief.. right?? Anyway but all the lovers end up with who they are supposed to be with Edward/Bella and whoever else she relates this too...

Technically the definition of a comedy in that time was happy ending not necessarily "haha" stuff. Though I know it does have funny parts in it!

Or is it some girl chasing Edward chasing Bella chasing Jacob?
I think you may be on to something here...Edward told Bella that Tanya expressed interest in him, but what if [sorry if this has been brought up before], Tanya didn't give up so quickly, or they even had a mini fling....in fact, I was sort of wondering if Tanya had a special power to make Men love her...and that perhaps Edward fell under her "spell" and they shared a kiss or something before he was able to resist.

I was thinking about it, and Bella hasn't ever had the chance to truly be jealous. She has had 3 brief, minute long jealousies that I remember...1)the waitress in twilight, 2)finding out rosalie was meant for Edward and 3)hearing that Tanya expressed some interest....but Edward quickly soothed her.

Didn't S.Meyer say that we would meet Tanya's clan? If so, I think perhaps, if Bella is not a vampire yet, Tanya or one of the females she lives with may try to swoop in on Edward, causing Bella to actually be jealous. Meanwhile, Edward would only be concentrating on Bella [though I think S. Meyer said Bella already made her choice and is done with the "I love both boys" thing, so bella, in my prediction, will still only have eyes for Edward)
but perhaps Jacob or Seth or someone may like Tanya? Seth doesn't seem to feel the same resentment to vampires that the other wolves do...
though a werewolf falling for one of the other female vampires does seem too...obvious in a nonobvious way.

Aargh! I don't know. These are all great theories on this thread though!

Although, didn't Stephenie say that this book was based on A Midsummer Nights dream and something else that she can't reveal? Perhaps we are missing the point and it doesn't have to do with relationships at all?

Edward does avoid the subject of Tanya very adamantly. It may be way to speculative to think she has that power but its a good possiblity. SHe may be very beautiful like Rosalie. Didn't Eddy even say she was beautiful?
