How to dress like a Cullen? 0_0

Post by Twilight*Dreamer »

Hi!

I just found out there's a Breaking Dawn release party in my area and i am SO excited.
But I'm having trouble with costume ideas. I've been thinking of dressing as Alice, because I have short black hair, but by way of dressing as her, I'm lost. I've been going over the books again for ideas, but have yet to find one. Help?
Thanks so much ^_^

For Prom themed: From Twilight (pg 487 hardback), "Alice was striking in a black satin dress with geometric cutouts that bared large triangles of her snowy white skin." That's the best I got with that one.
Wedding themed: Maid of honor dress
For casual: Maybe go with some sort of trendy skirt or pants with a shirt that says "No one bets against me" or some sort of Alice catch-phrase.

I think debussygirl covered it all. I agree with what she said. hehe.

ooh, thanks, those are really great ideas. I like the prom one... I have a black dress from my homecoming... it doesn't have the triangle cutouts, but it's the same color at least. I'm just not sure if it's casual or dressy and it might be akward showing up in a prom dress... I don't know. Any thoughts on that (the casual/formal thing)?

And also, I love the idea of using Alice's catch phase. Thanks so much ^_^

You're welcome.
Before showing up in a prom dress I would first make sure the store you're going to is having prom-themed. Then talk to people you know about what they're going to wear. That way you'll know if other people are going dressy or casual and save yourself embarrassment or have another use for that dress you bought.

The one I'm going to is prom-themed, well, thats what the B&N that I called said they were, I'm only hoping I wont be the only one in a dress... that would be embarrassing! Lol, so hopefully I can drag along another friend with me, and make her dress up in a dress as well. Lol.

Most the lexicon board is locked down for comments. So there are only a few places on here that you can still comment to people the others will not be back open for comments until August 2nd. Because they dont want anyone to let out spoilers from the book.

You might want to double check that they are having the prom theme. Cause I called mine and they said it was Vampire Prom themed but then I went to the store and pre-ordered my book and the flyer said it was Engagement Party themed. So I'm going to go back and make sure what the theme is. lol.

so, do you think it would be lame if all my friends purchased the same hot topic choker to make it seem like the Cullen crest?
