Thanks for that tip.
I seriously get more and more hyper/excited every time I think/talk about the release party. I think it's just because I'm dressing up, and I want to have as much fun as possible with my friends who are going. (You see I'll be moving, so I want to do as much as I can before then.) So yeah. Plus I think it'll be fun to see how everyone is going to portray the characters by dressing up. I'm sure there will be some pretty amazing costumes that'll blown mine out of the water. Haha. Too bad I can't get that baseball uniform thing to work. Oh well.

Im going as a human, plain & simple.
You saw the dress Im wearing. Im going to an 'Engagement Party' so we're not supposed to dress as characters (especially Bella & Edward)

Ah yeah. I still love how your dress has the ripped look at the end. Totally adds to the dangerous side of things. Haha.
But yeah, if I were to be going to an Engagement Party for them I wouldn't know what to wear. Haha. Either way it sounds like fun. Do you know what you will be doing at the Engagement party?

I know we are having a costume contest (which I dont get, but okay), trivia & some other things. They seem to be keeping it a big secret.

Well perhaps they mean Best Dressed for a Vampire/Human Engagment Party. Haha I don't understand that either but I'm sure they'll make it work. They are probably being vague for some reason that I don't know hahaa. Maybe they have something special planned. Who knows?

I cant wait. I still need like a purse or something to carry things around in.
I wonder how many people in my area actually pay attention to B&N. I really hope it wont be that big. I will die if it is.

Let's hope it's not then! Haha.
The good thing is there are release parties going on everywhere, so it's scattered about. That makes it a little better. I'm not sure if that'll be the case here, but we'll have to wait a see.
I just realized I'll need something to carry things around in myself. I'll have to get my outfit together so I can figure out what would go best. I have an idea though.

I stopped in B&N when I saw there display case was filled with Twilight Books (I screamed when I saw it!) & asked the manager about the party.
He said that the costume contest is like they give you supplies & you make an outfit & you have to compete in a fashion show & winners will get official t-shirts, free books, & lots of other Twilight things! (I need a t-shirt!)
The Trivia is sent from the publisher (so it could be 50/50 on super easy or trick questions - Im hoping for trick questions)
They are also doing pictures in front of a Twilight Backdrop.
Last thing they have planned, so far (they are still adding to it), they said that if you dress up for the event (like us) you are likely to when door prizes & stuff.

B&N's theme company wide is the prom, but my staff had already decided they wanted a prom before the company went public with the theme.
There are about 10-12 of us who have read the books and we're very excited about the party. But even though the theme is prom, what we're really hoping for is people coming and showing their love for the books in fun and creative ways! (We're having a costume contest, too, so that's definitely veering from the whole prom theme...) The point is to have fun, right?
Most of the activities that we are doing are things that everyone can participate in whatever time they happen to arrive. The only exceptions would be the books discussion and costume contest. The last thing we would want is for people to feel they missed out on something because they got here too late or there were too many people to fight to get to the activiity. Also, think about trying to organize a couple of hundred *really excited* people into one activity. It'd be like herding cats!
