So when I went to pre-order my copy of Breaking Dawn at Barnes & Noble, a very enthusiastic employee told me that they were having a release party similar to the Harry Potter parties they have had. I've known about Borders doing that for the Twilight series, but I was pleasantly surprised that B&N jumped on the bandwagon. I don't know if this is the single store doing it, or if the franchise is. So if you're a B&N customer you might want to look into it.
The store i went to is in Flint, MI and they weren't sure if the party was going to on the day of or at midnight when it is released. I'll post some more info when I learn more.
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up!
Edit: Here's the event link!!

There's also another one in Muskegon. I'm not sure if I'm going yet. I'm only thirteen, and my non twilighter mother may not want to stay up until midnight waiting for her daughter to get a single book.... I hope I can, though. I preordered mine, though.

My friend says she heard that Barnes and Noble is having a party but she is out in Grand Rapids. I don't know about the Barnes and here, but I do know the Borders here in town is throwing one. Which is weird because its in the mall so I am wondering how they are going to work it for them to be open until midnight.

I live in Marquette (it's in the UP) and I know that our Barnes & Noble is having a Midnight Release party, but I'm going to Snowbound, a little independent bookstore. In my opinion, the independent stores have better parties. (Then again, there's not much to compare, our B&N isn't even a whole building . . .) Plus, I'm not really into the whole prom theme.
I'm going on vacation!!! I will be gone from the 9th to the 21st and will be in sunny SC. I'll keep an eye out for silver volos, but they're owners would probably have to be inside. :P

I know that the B&N in Rivertown Mall (Located in the Grand Rapids area) is having a release party and even a contest. The contest is to submit your own art of Bella and/or Edward that will be voted on at the release party, and the winner recieves a free copy of Breaking Dawn. I'm pretty excited but am currently in the middle of a move to South Carolina, so I'm not sure if I'll be in Michigan for the release party here or not. But if anyone has heard if South Carolina has any events going on, lemme know!
Thanks! Hope to see you there!
