How about a Edward Cullen mind game?
"Edward" guesses what team you're on.
(Jacob, Switzerland, Edward)
If he's wrong, you get a Bella bookmark, if he's right you get a Edward bookmark.

Or a Team Edward, Jacob, Switzerland tug-of-war.

Everyone gets divided into teams and each team has to act out a scene from the book. The team that does the scene the best wins! Of course they'll have to the most popular scenes, the one's that almost everyone can quote. I can think of a few... Or maybe I'm just weird.
i love that idea! and no your not weird, alot of us have memorized at least one scene. or maybe...we're all just crazy together =)
The worst the Volturi can do is kill me, you can leave me. Victoria, the Volturi, they're nothing compared to that

The Border

Post by idb16 »

I'm planning the party for our store (Borders) and we are planning on doing a choose sides theme with the store split into two - La Push and Forks with activities to go along with both sides. I wanted to get everyone's feed back and have gotten inspiration from the previous postings. Also if anyone has a catching idea for the theme of this party let me know.

Forks
Fortune telling - "Alice's Corner"
What Wour Your Vampire Powers Be?
Arm Wrestling
La Push
Face Painting
What's Your Spirit Animal
Pin the Tail on the Werewolf
Safety Zone
Costume Contest
Bella's Balance (book balancing findout on which side of the border it falls)
Trivia Contest
Scavenger Hunt (it seems like a lot of people liked this idea)

These sound good!

How are you going to do the "What would your vampire powers be" and the "What's your spirit animal" sections? Also, what does the safety zone entail?

Sounds like you have a variety of fun things planned - your party should rock! Good luck with the rest of the planning.

Those ideas are so cute. Are all the Borders parties doing that?

release party

Post by idb16 »

I believe that all of the Borders stores are going to be doing some key things like a costume contest, trivia and debate our store has always kind of run with a theme and done some other key activitie so it will be unique in our town and hopefully Borders

we will be basing the "What Will Your Vampire Powers Be?" and "What Is Your Spirit Animal?" on a personality test. We are taking qualities from each of the characters and forming a fun quiz to figure who you most resemble and have been studying a lot on the traditional tribes in the region to help us pair up animals with particular personal attributes.

I'm glad that you liked the ideas. I planned the past two Harry Potter events and they were successful but for this release party it is harder to come up with ideas for some reason.

I don't honestly know how our Borders (I'm in Hawaii) is planning things. Perhaps I'll ask when I reserve my copy to see. I know it'll have the key events that are on the website though since they have a sign in Borders promoting the event. The sign also happens to be by a bunch of Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse books! :D Haha. I seriously can't wait though. I mean even if it was only the events on the poster I'll still have fun.

Although taking a personality test to see what my vampire powers would be or what my spirit animal is sounds like it'd be fun.

These are awesome ideas! I love the James scavenger hunt idea, because it sounds really fun and it seems like a game that could adjust to almost any time frame by altering the number of envelopes that are hidden.

I'm now extra excited for Breaking Dawn!
