Printing your tickets costs more money. Having them mailed to you is free. I don't know if you can change it so that you can print them out.
"What did you do to this?" he asked in a horrorstruck voice.
"It didn't want to come out of the dashboard."
"So you felt the need to torture it?"
"You know how I am with tools. No pain was inflicted intentionally."
He shook his head, his face a mask of faux tragedy. "You killed it."
I shrugged. "Oh, well."

Hey, does anyone know if you need to be escorted by an adult to this if you're under a certain age? I've got two tickets for me and my friend, but now we're wondering about that. It didn't state it anywhere, but I know that's the deal for some concerts...

So I am a little concerned/annoyed (I don't really know which one I want to be). Well see, my friend and I got tickets to see Stephenie and Blue October in NY. Anyway, my friend is a member of this Blue October fan group kind of thing and their message boards are filled with comments about people who bought tickets to the NY and LA show. But these people have no idea who Stephenie is and they only plan on staying for Blue October. All of you in NY who are wondering were the presale tickets went; apparently they went to these Blue October fans (at least 15 people mention buying presale tickets).

Not only are we facing scalpers that bought a big chunk of the tickets but now we have people that are going to show up for maybe 15 minutes of the entire night and just leave. I know it may be weird but I feel this is kind of unfair. This is a Stephenie Meyer event, Blue October is like the opening act (for lack of a better way of saying it). It is not fair to those people out there who really wanted to meet Stephenie (a once in a life time opportunity ~ especially since this is her last tour for a while). Now they don't get the chance because some people wanted to see Justin sing three songs. Sorry, I know I am kind of whining but I have read how many people wanted tickets and didn't get them. And then when you find out the nasty details behind it all it just kind of upsets you. I feel really bad for the people in Chicago.

defenestrated,

I kind of remember reading somewhere that you have to be over 16 to be alone without an adult. Not sure though... I'll double check.

Agh, I just went through the Nokia Theather website and in their general info section they say that you have to be over 16 or with an adult who's got a ticket to get in. It would have been helpful if they had made that more clear before the tickets were sold. I'd really rather go with my friend than take my mom who hasn't even read the books.

Along with the people just going as Blue October fans, it's kind of upsetting that a lot of tickets are going to have to go to parents for the people who can't get in without an adult. It is pretty rude just to go for the band, although, people who like Blue October weren't the only ones who got the presale tickets because that's when I got mine.

As far as admissions for people under 16 you might just want to contact the venue directly. If you do talk to someone there make sure you get a name and remember when you talked to them, that way if it turns out they told you wrong you have a way to back up what you were told. It could be that since this is an event for a young adult author they are willing to make an exception. I emailed Nokia Theater (they have a link on their contact page) and asked them a couple of questions: like how early are we allowed to lineup and if it is true that it will be standing room only. Now I just have to wait for them to respond. I know a lot of people are going by what is up on the webpage, but I think for this event they might make exceptions. Get the info straight from the horse's mouth.

As far as my previous comment about the presale tickets going to Blue October fans, I know that some twilighters did get presale tickets, but I meant for there to be a comparison. So far I have only heard of maybe 3 twilighters who got presale tickets but a lot more (15) Blue October fans who got presale tickets, and it is these people that are commenting that they are only going to stay for the Blue October part of the evening. I still don't think it is fair. Plus I am a little more lenient to tickets going to parents who have to accompany children. This is for safety reasons. But at least your mom or dad is going to go thorough the autograph line to get a book signed, a book you could possibly pass along to a fan who was not lucky enough to get to go.

I'm doing that! I just have to decide which of my friends who can't go to give it to... That's going to be a hard choice...

It'd be nice if my other ticket could go to one of my friends, but my parents want an adult to be with me when I'm there. So I pretty much don't have to worry about 16-and-under without supervision stuff....

I'm also wondering what time I should show up there.... I'm sure the line will be long. I wouldn't want to end up on the end, and have to be in the very back for the signing...
