my friends i got there around 3:40 and ended up getting seats 31-33 in row C. despite the fact that i was a zombie for my ap stat exam this afternoon, pretty sweet day! i'm about 160 pages into the host, and i'm loving it!!! so pumped for saturday!!!
passion is knowing what you want and never stopping until you get it.
It looked like some did camp out... the people toward the front had sleeping bags, and if people getting there at 3ish were back in row C, I wouldn't be surprised at all if some of those people ahead of them had been waiting since midnight or earlier.
I definitely agree about the assigned seats thing. That probably saved a lot of violence and headaches, haha.
I'm about 200 pages into The Host, so I'm going to have to slow it down if I'm going to survive until Saturday, haha. Eh, I guess I can always start in again on Twilight if I finish Host too soon.

hehe really? i was there with my dad and i was wearing black jeans and a gray jacket. i kept my hood up the whole time because my hair was all frizzy thanks to the weather. yeah it was kind of chilly out there, plus those sprinkles didn't help matters.bethg wrote:We must have been very close to you in line, we're Row G, seats 23-25. It was a little damp and cold this morning, wasn't it?girl_wonder wrote: I shall be in the auditorium in Row G and if those numbers mean seats then i'll be either in seat 20 or 21
I'd be curious to know what time (Monday?) the first people in line got there.
[EDIT] actually my seats are 21 and 22, so you all must have been right behind me.
i have no idea about the time..i didn't even know people would camp out.

Hey everyone!
I'm with Calli, the one who will have the shirt there for everyone to sign. :D I think having a meet-up after the event on the 10th is something we should totally do. Does anyone more local to that area know what kind of restaurants are around the high school?

Hmm. I see your point. But on the other hand, if we meet up afterwards, we'll actually be able to discuss the book signing that just took place, and we won't be limited on time.
But back to your point, we'll be getting out at different times.. and don't know how long it will last to begin with. Hmm. What do others think?
I suppose we could possibly do both. Meet beforehand to get to know each other, and then afterwards if we want to talk about The Host/the signing.

Haha, woo!!! Go Texas!!
Okay, so Dice and I have a plan... There's an IHOP over by Stonebriar Mall, which is pretty close to where the signing is. What if we all try to meet there at about 11:30, which leaves us plenty of time to get there, hang out, order, eat, talk, etc?
(If you want to MapQuest it...
IHOP - 2480 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX
Signing - 6901 Coit Rd, Frisco, TX 75035)
Like before, we'll try to get a headcount here of who can show up so we can get reservations or whatever, so post again with your numbers if you think you'll be able to make it.
Also - I think we should make the reservations in the name "Stephenie" or "Meyer". Heheh.
Edit: You little dweeb.

Ha! I like that idea of Ihop and putting the reservations under Stephenie or Meyer. There will be two people in my group.
I got there at about 5:30 and got tickets in row 'G'. I dont know if we talked to any of you guys on here but i'm the one that went around passing out bookmarks with the lyrics to Edwards Lullaby on it. I was number 206 in line. There were people that got there at 10pm the night before to camp out (and they were number 20 in line). Everyone was really nice though.
I finished The Host yesterday and immediately started it again. And if I may say, It was AMAZING!
Well, I cant wait to see you guys tomorrow!
