1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?
I think a majority came just to see the house, i.e: jessica.
2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?
I was! I couldn't believe that he came after attempting to kiss her.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?
I think it was partially both but he was just trying to tick Edward off.
4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?
I think that the alliance was ... strange to say the least. I was a tad surprised.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?
I thought that the Edward/Jacob thing would have messed it up

1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?

A. Ha! Most definately to see the Cullen house. However, when I think about it...I believe Bella is more popular than meets the eye. We are reading these books from Bella's perspective. She "doesn't see herself clearly"...so therefore, I bet a lot were there for Bella and seeing the Cullen house was just a bonus.

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?

A. No. I always expect Jacob to pop in at random places. PLUS...Bella did invite him, even if she thought punching him would be uninviting him. Bella should know that a punch to the face wouldn't keep Jacob from seeing her, especially on an important night like high school graduation.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?

A. I took it as a sincere gift to Bella, but there is no doubt when he made it he was cackling to himself thinking how Edward would feel.

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

A. I knew there would be an alliance, so I wasn't surprised. It was just a matter of time. I mean, Bella is loved by the werewolves and the vampires...of course they will both want to have a part in protecting her.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?

A. I actually thought there would be issues with Edward and Jacob. I also thought Edward would want to break his jaw when Bella and Jacob were kind of snuggling up to each other when they were practicing fighting tactics.

1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?

I think a lot of them came to see the house, but also just to do something after graduation..just a place to go and party! :)

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?

I was pretty shocked that he came, but then I thought it was stupid to be surprised because that's just so him...I wouldn't have asked him to leave, but I would have ignored him.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?

Probably a bit of both..like Jake showing Bella he cared about her and he didn't want her to forget him later on and also him playing more games to remind Edward that he isn't giving up.

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

I was glad that the vampires and the wolves could put aside their prejudices for the greater good. I mean, I kind of expected it after the Denali clan declined. Also, the wolves would have protected Bella just as the Cullens would have, so it only made sense to just combine forces.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?

I knew the more mature of each side would have tried to make it work, but the ones with remaining strong grudges against the other would have had a more difficult time with working together.

1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?

I don't know...probably the latter option did it for most.

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?

I go with the story, I'm always experiencing things as Bella does. I wouldn't have chucked him out then...

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?

Oh, I never thought of that! Hmmm, both. lol

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

Surprised :)

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?

I was with Bella, no ideas of my own. lol

1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?

Other than Angela and Ben, I think Edward was right when he said that everyone was coming our of pure curiosity: the Cullens always kept to themselves in school, and here was a chance for the seniors and juniors to see some of the mystery behind the Cullens.

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?

Yes, but I shouldn't have been: Jacob is Jacob, after all, and he's persistent if nothing else. A right hook wouldn't stop him, especially when he knew that Bella always forgave him, and she did here, too. He knew she cared about him more than enough to always forgive him.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?

It's both, but I also think he wanted to let her know that he wasn't going to go anywhere and give up on her until she finally did admit that she loved him, too. With the bracelet always on her wrist, she'd never be able to stop thinking about him, which is of course, what he always wanted.

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

I think it was fabulous! I was just as excited as Alice when Jacob said the Cullens wouldn't be alone. It was a natural reaction, considering Jacob's love for Bella and his eagerness to fight for her, and also to prove to Bella that Edward wasn't the only one willing to protect her. I did expect it a little bit once Tanya's family declined their help, but I couldn't see how the alliance would exactly come about. I think it's great that it came from Jacob as an offer instead of the Cullens asking them for help.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?

I was a little bit concerned in the beginning, especially when they first met in the clearing after the party, but by the second night of "training" I thought it might actually work. Seth and Edward's teamwork at the end to defeat Riley and Victoria, and Edward's admiration of the werewolves' efforts was just beautiful - it just makes him that much more perfect!

To see the inside of the Cullen House.

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?

I wasn't all that surprised when he came. it was very Jacob-esque. i was a little surprised though. I would have asked him to leave because of the way he had been acting lately.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?

A little bit of both.

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

I thought it was a really awesome thing. I was totally surprised by it.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?

i had my concerns. i mean, they couldn't even stop calling eachother names to work out when to meet and stuff, but i thought it would work out in the end.

1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?
Like people need an excuse to party? :D Truthfully, I think it more likely that everyone wanted to see the house - plus the fact that it was an opportunity to get together with almost the entire senior class without having to pay for anything. And Alice throws one heck of a shindig.

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?
Yes, I was surprised that he showed up, and he brought Quil and Embry with him. I thought she might blow up at him and tell him to leave, because of the whole kiss thing (I probably would have told him to get lost) - but she didn't.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?
Hmm, that's a thought-provoking question.
I think it was both. Jake wanted to remind Bella of their friendship and how he would always be there for her - and it served as a reminder to Edward that he was not the only one she could turn to for understanding and protection.

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?
No, I don't think I expected it. They were always so hostile with one another, and I just kept waiting for one of the wolves' control to snap and lash out at one of the Cullens.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?
I thought there were going to be more problems than there actually were between the wolves and the vampires. Like Edward said, I wasn't really certain that it was going to work out when they all met together in the clearing.

In theory, the party was for Edward, Alice and Bella. The Cullens have not formed close attachments to other students. Bella has also formed relatively few friendships - most of which, with a few golden exceptions, tanked (or were fouled by the evil duo) during her social catalepsy and Jacobian recovery. So, for most of the people, the choice for a graduation party was between the big blow out at the Cullen's (novelty plus an element of mystery/the unknown) or a more subdued event with the same old group of friends. In Forks, novelty wins.

Even then, the party wasn't as well attended as Bella thought. While Bella thinks, "The entire senior class seemed to be there, along with most of the juniors", there were, in fact, only 65 attendees - I assume that Alice was not counting herself, Bella, Edward and Jasper. There are about 90 members of each, the junior and senior classes (358/4). So there were about 115 people "missing" from the party.
Alphie wrote:2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?
Yes, but to paraphrase a common sentiment on the forums, that was so Jacob. I think Bella would have worked around to asking him to leave, but, at the time, she was somewhat distracted. I mean, just a few hours before she deduces that a horde of newborn vampires are targeted on her, and that they have learned to defeat/impede her first line of defense - Alice. Since she has been dealing with graduation, Charlie, Edward, the party, each of the guests - and suddenly Alice "sees" something new. I mean under those conditions, having three werewolves in your home would seem to be a secondary issue.
Alphie wrote:3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?
Why not both - and more? Jacob is smart, devious and devoted to Bella. That boy has more layers than a Damascus sword. Obviously, the gift itself (remember Bella's gift giving restrictions) as well as its form was an irritant to Edward. But to Jacob, that was probably an unintended bonus. (I don't know that he was aware of Bella's gift issues with Edward.) He primarily wanted to give her the reminder, but also something of himself, not store bought but created with love and skill. Perhaps even an attempt to capture and preserve part of Bella's soul.

By the way, I just loved that bit about Bella mistaking the bag for the gift. It was sooo funny and so Bella.
Alphie wrote:4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

Considering the natural/cultural animosities, it was unlikely to happen until the two groups faced a common threat. Even then, Sam doesn't get the credit he deserves. Without his flexibility and peaceable intent, along with Carlisle's parallel characteristics, the alliance could not have been formed.

Of course, even considering the temporary/limited nature of the alliance and threats to the status quo (tempers, traditions, Bella's change), this alliance is the lynch pin of the series. It enabled the Seth/Edward friendship. It established a level of mutual trust. It provided them all with a degree of experience of working (in some minds playing) together. These will all be critical factors in the "last battle", the final blowout that resolves Bella and Edward's story.
Alphie wrote:5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?
People of good will can usually find a way to work together. People who don't want to can usually find excuses to alienate others or to take offense from them. I thought it had a good chance of success. There were many reasons of self-interest for each of the groups to work together.

While neither group wanted to be in a fight where they were so heavily out numbered, members of each group were eager for the fight. Both groups wanted to protect Bella and to defend the Forks area from the depredations of the newborns.

It is important to note how important the training sessions were to the building of trust between the two groups. Even though it was unstated, the risk was huge for the Cullens. Teaching the pack, already highly skilled vampire killers, how to be effective against newborns and revealing the skills and tactics inherent in the combat capabilities of each of the Cullens made the Cullens, now significantly out numbered by the Quileute pack, extremely vulnerable to their "allies".

See the inside of the Cullen House.

2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?

Haha. No i wasnt. C'mon now. ITS JACOB. Well...if i was Bella prbly.

3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?

Edward. lol. because then Edward would have to constantly see the bracelet on her wrist.

4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?

I thought is was amazing! Ehhh....i was surprised but then again not surprised...if that makes sense. Their dislike for each other was just so.... well-known.

5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?

No concerns. Both groups have amazing self-control.

1. Do you think the majority of the people came to the party to celebrate with Bella or just to see the inside of the Cullen's house?
Ha ha, probably just to see the Cullen's house.
2. Were you as surprised as Bella was that Jacob came to the party? Would you have asked him to leave?
I would have told him that it probably wasn't a good idea that he came...but I wouldn't force him to leave. And no, it didn't suprise me that he showed up. That's Jacob for you. :D
3. Do you think Jacob's gift of the bracelet was more of a reminder to Bella or to Edward about his friendship and devotion to her?
As much as I know Jake probably wants to flaunt his friendship with Bella in Edward's face, I don't think that's why he gave her the bracelet. He really is going to miss her, and is giving it to her as a reminder of him.
4. How did you feel about the alliance that was formed between the wolves and the vampires? Was it something you had expected for a while or were you surprised?
When Carlisle had been thinking about who to ask for help, I was reading and going "THE WEREWOLVES!" So I was glad the Cullens and the werewolves teamed up.
5. Did you think the alliance was going to work or did you have concerns over their ability to actually work together?
I had a feeling it would work out, because no one wanted a bunch of scary vampires running around Forks.
