Chapter sixteen: Epoch

Post by Alphie »

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

I wasn't surprised, I had actually predicted that the two were connected when she first had the suspicion that Alice had cleaned her room for her.

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?

I would have reacted the same way she did, because I guess if you were Bella you kind of figure, well at least this is ending on a good note.

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

I think she might have been a little more excited, but at the same time contemplating her "ending" of her human life, and what her new life would be like, with all her loose ends with Charlie, Renee, and Jacob still not being tied up.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

I think she was being completely honest, I think Bella has really grown a lot more attached to Charlie since her first day in Forks. And I truly think her bond with him is genuine even though neither one of them are the kind to show their emotions.

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

A: don't remember when I figured it out but I wasn't as surprised as I thought I would be.

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?

A: I probably would have faked it better. ;)

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

A: The second one.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

A: Pretty honest. He did the best he could and Bella appreciates that.

When Bella first found clothing missing, I felt something was up. If Alice had cleaned Bella's room I believe she would have mentioned it.

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?

Who cares about Jess anyway??? She's a phoney, I ALWAYS try to takestuff from where it comes!!!

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

Bella dosen't have much interest in Human Landmarks, parties, graduations, proms, they don't excite her. Bella's mind is always on spending eternity with Edward.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?
Somewhat honest...Her mind, at that point, was on other things, so she really wasn't there in the moment. Bella loves Charlie and probably believes that he does the best job he can, althought I think he can apply himself more.

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

I figured out the connection a little bit earlier in the book, so I wasn't completely shocked when I read that part.

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?

Coming from Bella her reaction made sense. Plus, her mind was definetly on other things at that moment and really didn't have to contribute that much to the conversation. I probably would have acted the same way.

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

She still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life. Plus, she was dreading the whole Seattle situation, what Edward's reaction would be when they told him, and the party right after.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

I think Bella was honest with him. She didn't mind doing house chores and cooking. Even Bella told Renee that she couldn't leave Charlie because he needed her. Bella and Charlie have grown really close since Bella has moved to Forks. Even though Bella and Charlie don't always agree, Bella knows that Charlie has her best intrest in mind.

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

I actually wasn't because I knew they had to be connected some how all along, I just didn't know how. When Jasper talked about the Vampire army that made things a bit clearer.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

I definetly think Bella was being sincere. Bella is not an inscencere person, she doesn't say things just to say them. And we all know that she really does love her dad, I think it was very good of her to say those things because it was a small form of closure, incase anything happend to her.
New car? Check.
Fancy school? Check.
Sexy Fiance? Check.
And you're STILL whining???

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

I kind of had a hunch that they were connected earlier, but I was a little surprised that I had guessed correctly.

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?

I guess the way she did it made sense, since it was probably one of the last times she would ever see her...I would have acted the same in similar circumstances, but maybe a little more bitter about it initially...something like, "Oh, now you want to be friends??" and wait until she just had a really guilty facial expression, then just be like, "Just kidding!" :)

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

I think she always was contemplating the ending of ther human life, but with a lot of other things jumbled up with it, like the Seattle deal. I mean, that's not something you just forget about...ever. She had a lot to think about, so maybe all of the things she was thinking about helped her make the connection..?

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

For Bella, I think he was a pretty good. I mean, he left her alone when she needed and never hovered or anything. I don't think Bella minded much that he wasn't the best dad because he was good for her.

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?

I thought the whole situation was pretty suspicious, but I, myself, didn't make the connection. I did think it had something to do with Victoria.

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?

Definately dont think there was anything that could make Bella excited about a party. And of coursem she would definately still be thinking about her turning into a vampire; much more important than a party.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

I think she was being completely honest.

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?
I had already made that connection and, for some reason, thought she already had, as well. So when she did, I thought, "Oh, did she just figure it out now?"
2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?
Hmmm... I guess everyone gets sentimental at those things. I've done that too, you really make a big deal over something that was hardly there. I have no idea how I would have reacted.
3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?
Yeah, I think she would have been more excited without the Seattle thing- but still not going crazy. That's just not Bella.
4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?
I think Bella thought that he was the best dad. From our perspective, I think he could and should have done payed her a bit more attention, but this is the way she liked it. She never would have been able to get away with some of the things she did if Charlie had been different.

1. When Bella made the connection between the thief and the Seattle newborns, were you surprised? If not, when did you figure it out?
I figured it out around the same time as her.

2. How did you feel about Jess making light of the "friendship" she shared with Bella? Would you have reacted the same way Bella reacted?
I would have reacted the same way. That is just the personality I have.

3. Do you think Bella would have been more excited to graduate if there wasn't the danger from Seattle looming over her? Or do you think she still would have been contemplating the "ending" of her human life?
I think she didn't really care really about the graduation. Compared to other big things in her life, this wasn't that big of a deal.

4. Charlie expresses some concern about not being able to give Bella everything, yet Bella tells him he's been the best dad. How honest do you think Bella was being in that whole conversation?

I think they have grown with their relatonship.
