Jamie was the only one I felt like I loved unconditionaly the whole way through, I never felt at all let down by him; I felt like he was my brother and I felt like I wanted to protect him.

In some ways he reminded me of Jake, (don't hate me) when Jake lets his defenses down and you see that he's just a kid, really.

no hate here
Agree 100%!!!!
that probabley why i liked him so much is because he reminded me of jake
i cired that most for him in that book, just seeing him deal with the same stuff as the adults was HARD
you had to feel bad for him...

Jamie's amazing.

But I think Stephenie pictured him too yound and naive for a teenager. On the other hand he spent many years without other kids and all these things that belong to growing up, so I guess that's okay.

He handles Wanda much better than the adults do.

I had no choice but to love him. :D

Yes he was really a character that I liked every minute while I was reading.
And he reminded me of Twilight!Jacob, too =)
I really, really like him.
He's great what's more to say? XD
"Oh, come on," I said dubiously. "You have to know the effect you have on people."
He tilted his head to one side, and his eyes were curious. "I dazzle people?"
"You haven't noticed? Do you think everybody gets their way so easily?"
He ignored my questions.
"Do I dazzle you?"
"Frequently," I admitted.

i have to agree with i N S A N i T Y, I can't decide between Jamie or Ian on who would be my favorite character

But Jamie is amazing, he was always so innocent and kind.

I would love for Jamie to have his own story, I would definately devour that. I think without him Wanderer would not have been allowed to stay alive. I think Jared would have made a snap decision to kill her if he didn't have Jamie to consider... . ..Maybe.
and not that it matters alot but

Don't forget Isaiah and Freedom.

I think he was the youngest adult who handled it the best. Because he has an open mind. :D

I cried so much during the parts with Jamie, especially when he realized Mel was still in her body and hugged her and said "Love you, Mel," I just broke down in tears! He reminds me sooo much of my little brother and our relationship, I had to put down the book to hug him more than once...haha

About a year passed in the book right? So, by the end, was Jamie 15 or almost 15?

I wonder if Stephenie does do the sequels, will Jamie get a love interest in one of the other groups of survivors, awww Little Jamie, all grown up :)

I don't know why, but my mental picture of Jamie IS DAVID ARCHULETA from American Idol. I really don't know why but THAT is who I pictured as Jamie during the whole novel. I still do, in fact.
