Yeah i agree her body change was kind of a shock, but thats becuase nobody is used to reading a book, then all of a sudden having one of the main characters... look completely different.

I dont really see her as pudgy becuase they describe her to be really small and fragile, if anything shes like a twig haha.

I think its best that shes in that body, she looks so innocent and tiny now people will be less likely to harm her.

The body change is just something you gotta get used to, i personally just love Wanda. :)
These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which, as they kiss, consume.

Wanda was my favorite character (Mel was very cool to though but very different). She was just really selfless and by the end I felt like she was my best friend or my sister. She was so kind and thoughtful and even her lack of strength wasn't to annoying.

As opposed to Bella from Twilight I really liked Wanda tons more. Maybe Bella just whines to much xD lol jk

I admire Wanda so much! She's so selfless and will do anything to save her loved ones... it's beautiful (not meaning to sound corny lol) And she really does care for everyone... like when Kyle tried to kill her and he was unconscious, I hate to say it, but I'm not sure if I could have saved him just because in my own mind I'd be thinking about all the horrible things he's tried to do.
Oooh, and the part where she had Jared punch her and when she cut herself was so intense! It was seriously so brave, it just made me think so much more of her.
And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.

Wanda is a great character. I wish I could be like her but honestly, I'm probably more like Melanie with my temper. Her new body kind of bugged me the first time I read the book, but when I read it the second time I realized it is the perfect body for her. Wanda is sweet and innocent (for the most part). She needs a body that says that, which is what her new one does.

Wanda was my third favorite character (next to Jamie and Jeb of corse) but I agree. I didn't like her new body (what was the souls name...Pet or something like that) anyways, it just seemed to annoy me that she was so fragile and everyone had to take care of her. Her personality just didn't fit her new body.

Wanda is actually my favourite character. She seems so human, it is really hard to think of here as an alien. And she is just so kind, that I couldn't hate her. I liked her from the satr really. She seems like Carlisle in the sense that she is almost apologetic about who and what she is...

Unlike most people, I never really had the feeling that Wanderer was going to be the antagonist of the story. I always liked her, felt for her. She wasn't my favorite character, she comes in second, but I never had a doubt really that she wasn't something good, something pure.

However, I did not like her new human body. It's strange, but I almost felt like Wanda deserved Mel's body back. The insertion of Wanda into Pet's host was very hard on me, and it didn't seem fair that her host was so weak, so gigglish. It doesn't fit her personality at all, and it makes me sad.

Wanderer, i think, didn't have the expectations of the humans that high to start with so as the story went on her expectations got higher. I also think that if Wanderer hadn't been inserted into Mel then she wouldn't be how she is at the end of the book because if she had been put into a non-resistant host she would be just like all the other Souls. I quite liked Mel and Wanderer in the same body, i though they made a great team.

I'm afraid I have to disagree on your statement that Wanda would be like other souls if she wasn't put into Melanie's body. It's true she probably wouldn't go searching for humans because she would have no reason to if she was put into a non-resitant host. But Wanda had always felt like an outsider amoung her own kind. If she hadn't been put into Melanie she probably would have live out a life term in her host and then moved on to the Dolphins or another planet.

yes, also, she was special- the rest of her kind had a sort of reverence to her- a respect because of who she was (remember beginning when she was put into Melanie's body)
