After reading the Prologue and Chapter 4, I must say I'm very very excited for this book! I'm not usually one for Sci Fi but this seems really interesting. I liked the Prologue especially because it showed right away that the aliens or spirits or whatever exactly it is that they are (I was a little confused lol) aren't evil or mean, which I assumed they were going to be. I'm really excited!

At first, I was questioning if I could concentrate on the sci-fi parts of it. I tend to zone out. After reading it, though, I was extremely interested! I had to use my brain a bit while reading, and, of course, I loved the challenge. =] I can't wait for the book or for Stephenie to come to Dallas! I feel bad for her and the people around me, though... Screaming is a must. =]

The whole placing a soul in a body thing reminded me of the history of Scientology. I think its an interesting concept :P
I'm so excited to read this book, i have no doubt in my mind that its going to be good!

I think it was a bit creepy the soul implanting thing and I would like to know why ford's is so worried. Maybe he has much more from his old hosts soul or has a special thing to do.

First I thought it's too creepy for me but Now I really want to know what happens next. But I really think readers under 16 shouldn't read it

I've got BETTER than you guys.

I ALREADY BOUGHT THE HOST!!!

The Host is already out in my country!!
I saw it just yesterday and this afternoon I bought it!
Here's the link for proof :

It's 619 pages,
with smaller fonts and smaller spaces.
The size of the book is bigger than Twilight the series.
So the content is definately a lot more, even from Eclipse.

ugh the Prolouge confused me to no end, but it was interesting how they did it. I was only confused because it was the beginning of the book (obviously) my friend is reading it, and i told him to read it, don't talk to me about anything until you get to the 6th chapter.

I found the prologue very interesting. I thought how they implanted the souls was humane, but the whole idea behind it is scary. I'm on chapter 19 now, but at the beginning I wondered what the Healer knew about the soul and the host. If that makes any sense.... Something just seemed off. I guess if I keep reading my questions will be answered.

I thought it was odd that the Prologue was in 3rd person. It caught me off guard because Meyer's Twilight starts in 1st POV and continues in 1st. It took a few moments to adjust but otherwise it was quite interesting.

The way that they implement the souls wasn't creepy at all. It was quite interesting, considering the neck is part of the spinal cord, which controls the brain. And I thought that the souls represented a way of physically making a conscience if that makes any sense...its hard to explain.

Fords Deep Waters was an intresting character. Reminded me much of Carlisle but I was surprised he wasn't in other future chapters past chapter 2. :( Would have been interesting to see how Wanderer reacted to Mel with Fords there to observe, without Mel's memories invading...and if she wasn't unconcious of course. :)

Overall I would have liked to know this character...perhaps Meyer will write more of Fords in later Host books, if she writes more.
