Music Director Alexandra Patsavas

Discussion about the Twilight movie. It's all speculation until Summit Films actually produces a script and casts it.

I am very excited about Alex as the music person. Honestly she has brought some incredible songs to popularity through TV shows. Dido(Here with Me) was perfection for Roswell, The Fray(How to Save a Life) and Snow Patrol (Chasing Cars) for Grey's Anatomy, and then the great indie music on the OC.

I think we definately can expect great music for the movie and let's face it we all have a soundtrack in our heads that fits. So hopefully one of those songs makes it into the movie :D

i was just thinking, each tv show and film had a certain music style with her.. it always fit perfectly, but what do you guys think itll be for twilight? (sorry if this is considered off-topic.. just ignore the question if it is:P)

I think The OC sound is great for Twilight. Or the Grey's sound. They're really indie, but, with the OC especially, very modern and teenagerish.

^ I can see it being the OC as well, with that touch of Grey's (that show has always have original love songs) -- indie, alternative, rock type of thing.
Ah, Alex is just perfect for this movie; I can feel it lol :D

I loved that song. Ingrid Michaelson has such a great voice.
Besides U2...Ingrid Michaelson is my favorite...so I'd be stoked if her music was in Twilight. I actually sent her a message on Myspace telling her she should write a song about Twilight!!!

If Alex went kind of in a Cameron Crowe or Sophia Coppola direction, that would be great also.

I basically live off the Elizabethtown, Virgin Suicides, and Marie Antoinette soundtracks.

The one thing I'm hopping is that Alex isn't going to use too much of already-heard-of songs from the OC.
I really want to here what her bands/singers in the movie are going to be. But my guess is most music directors don't use the same songs and less bands/singers twice or more; I'm ready for the new stuff lol

Oh, same here.
I pretty much know every main song played on The OC, so changing it up would be nice.

I'd also be devastated if she played generic bands like Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, The Rocket Summer. You know? Pretty much anyone on The Warped Tour.

Indie, not Top 40! :D
