Music Director Alexandra Patsavas

Discussion about the Twilight movie. It's all speculation until Summit Films actually produces a script and casts it.

Music Director Alexandra Patsavas

Post by Cocoa »

Alexandra Patsavas has been named Music Supervisor for the movie Twilight.

Her previous portfolio includes:

Gossip Girl
Super Natural
Shark
The OC
John Tucker Must Die
Roswell
Nancy Drew
Grey's Anatomy

*This is not a thread to discuss what you would like to be in the soundtrack. This is a thread to discuss Ms. Patsavas style and music habits.

First of all, he worked on the OC, Grey's Anatomy, Tru Calling, and Roswell; all of which I love! The music is so unique and fitting, so I have no worries that Patsavas will bring the Twilight alive with the music choices. I was so relieved to hear that we have a talented music supervisor on board with so much experience!

I too am happy with her being in charge of the music of Twilight.
I watch Gossip Girl and I may not be the biggest fan of the show but, I just adore the music. She has very good taste. I just hope she does consult Stephenie Meyer's playlist

I always thought the OC had great music (funny how many people involved in the OC are involved in Twilight), and i also enjoy the music on Gossip Girl. Hopefully she takes some of the music off Stephenie Meyer's playlist to make it extra perfect.

I'm super excited about this...Greys Anatomy and Supernatural are 2 of my favorite shows and the soundtrack to them is just as great as the show themselves.

Okay, so I just about peed when I read that.
For me, the choice of music supervisor was cruicial in the movie. Music supervisor was more important than who was cast as Edward lol  .
I've been suggesting Alex since I first heard about the movie, and I'm sooooooooooo (x5) excited they picked her.

I own every OC soundtrack, and my iPod is loaded with songs from the show. I'm like, her #1 fan.

Also, might I add, she does the music for Grey's Anatomy. Possibly the best music show on TV. I own all those soundtracks too.

Even if the movie sucks, the music will be AMAZINGGGGGGG :D

Wow, she's perfect with me.
To be honest, I was getting a bit worried with Twilights soundtrack; if it would be too mainstream. But Alexandra Patsavas has a amazing background with music; The OC, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy & Chuck (I heard) have all wonderful soundtracks. Settling against more un-known bands/singers which is perfect for this type of movie. No teeny-pop as far I can tell with a expedition of a few (prom and such) :]
lol ashFlash, I completly agree; the woman does knows her music.
Haha, I can't wait for the movie to come out, the soundtrack is going to be beyond amazing xD

The only teeny-pop thing on her resumé really is GG lol. They play sooo much Rihanna and Sean Kingston that it makes me want to gag. But the bad choices are good, because Twilight has a prom scene, so it will all work out in the end lol. And not all her GG choices were awful, she introduced me to Hard To Live (In the City), after all. I love that song lol.

Alex Patsavas is perfection.

As long as it's not an original score, I'll be happy.
