i also hate how people say "oh my god, the guy is hideous! how can he play edward!?" i think he's gorgeous AND he's a great actor. and he's already gone through this in harry potter. watch these:

I really didn't like Robert Pattinson at first but having seen the picture of him and Kristen Stewart in a comment on Stephenie's myspace and he looks really good. I was dubious about Kristen too, buit I have come round to both of them

they should definitely give robert a chance. obviously if stephenie, edward's creator, likes robert than i think theres a pretty good chance he's a good edward! ah well some people will never be happy i suppose, anywho tonight on the scifi channel Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King is on and Robert is in it. i dont know how big his part is in it but i'll prolly watch it, plus it sounds kind of cool.

There's a schedule of things he is going to be on at the top. Dragon Kingdom is on twice tonight. 11PM EST and 1AM EST. He plays: Giselher.

I think the most amazing thing about Robert is that he has read all 3 books.He will know how to be Edward better because of this.Also he has a vampire look to him that will make him more beliveable.There are very few boys/men that have the perfect flawless good looks to look Edward to everyone.So give Robert a break,he is good looking enough to play the part AND I believe he has the acting talent to make us believe he is Edward.

The picture they provided on Stephenie's website was horrible. But if you googled him you got much better pictures. If Stephenie is happy then I am. I didn't know who could possibly Edward. He has the right look and his Cedric Diggory role was awesome in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I just hope that he can pull off the role of the mysterious Edward Cullen.

I heard that he has read all three books, so he should know his role. i wonder if kristen has read them too
