It is likely several areas in Forks will be used.

Catherine Hardwicke is directing.

Melissa Rosenberg is the screenwriter

Kristen Stewert is Bella

Robert Pattinson is Edward

Casting calls went out to native American communities to find a Jacob.

Smaller roles are in the process of being cast, all of these roles require SAG or AFTRA affiliation.

The IMDB is reporting December 12, 2008 as a release date, we are somewhat doubtful on this based on the special effects work that will need to be done and the current writer's strike.

We will not post any thing regarding an actor/actress unless it is 100% certain.

you have to be a guild member of either SAG or AFTRA.

To be members of either of those guilds you need to fulfill certain requirements, experience, credits, etc . . .

Take into consideration there aren't going to be any super special effects like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings either. The Cullens skin and maybe a few other things but that's it, shouldn't take that long. Plus, they already have somewhat of a working script from my understanding and things that were posted in here before the mods erased everything to start over. I think December is a realistic goal but things do come up to change that. Also, as people have posted in this thread before the mass-delete, there are good movies that can and have been made in less time than that. I forget the examples that were used but whoever posted them (I think it was a mod) maybe will see this and come post about it again.

They're probably further along than we think. Sometimes a cast isn't announced until filming starts. I use Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince as an example.

Yes. I believe it was Pel who said, before this thread was deleted back when there was like 28973123 pages, that we shouldn't expect any huge announcements for the rest of the cast (I think this was in reference to people watching the RSS feeds on Summit and that one other Hollywood site) because they weren't going to be big name actors and they weren't the main characters. So they probably do have more than we know about.

There was an open casting call for native american 16 year olds to send in audition tapes. Nakotah, I'm sure, is not the only one out there. He is registered on IMBD (and suprisingly a championship hula hooper). However that does not mean he has been cast in the role. Again, we caution you in making judgements at this time. As we have seen in the last few months rumors are flying all over the place when it comes to casting. And yet in both cases those rumors were wrong. Relax, and remember this is a marathon. I know we are excited, but take a step back, take in the information given. There is no need to further criticze this kid.

I was looking at the Twilight IMDB page and the tagline for the Twilight movie is The Forbidden Fruit Tastes the Sweetest. Is this true?

OMG i just looked and it said the same thing!!! i dont quite understand it lol! but i didnt knew that that was the tag line .. anyway it seems interesting i seriously cant wait for the moviee!

I'm guessing it's making some reference to the apple on the book cover. Huhh... that's interesting.
